I had a stroke and a heart attack attributable to Bextra usage....I have the Law offices of Shawn Khorrami (who are affiliated with Kabateck Brown Kellner) handling my case...they won't quote a figure....just that I have a strong case....check them out on the web |

I have an auto immune skin disease that I got after 2 weeks of taking Bextra. I still have it. My lawyer says they want to settle the skin diseases. But other than sending for my medical records I haven't heard anything. My lawyer hasn't said anything about what kind of money or when. I don't know how this works. I have never sued anyone before. Did your lawyers file suit? My lawyer said that Pfizer signed a form excusing them from the statute of limitations, so they are holding off filing suit, and trying to settle.

My complaint was filed Feb 15/06 in CA--my lawyers told me that I'll hear back in6-8 mos. and then have to fill out "information sheet" that suit will be based on...also said, would probably not go to trial as judge would reccommend to Pfizer to settle: but, final amount is up to me...if I don't like amt.--we go to trial...I had a stroke and heart attack |

Hopefully they will settle and put all the Bextra cases behind them. You should get a good settlement. I don't know if I will get anything.I don't even think my lawyer filed suit yet. Did your lawyer give you an amount? I was also wondering if you know how many Bextra cases there are. I heard there about 10 thousand Vioxx cases, but I don't think there that many Bextra cases.

All my lawyer would commit to was that "I had a very good case"...no amont was ever mentioned by them...now it's just a waiting game.

I just wonder how long the waiting game will go on. I think there is a Bextra case going to trial in June in the US. They are 3 heart attack and stroke victims. I guess a lot will depend on the trial outcome.

Just saw where the Celebrex trial was delayed until early next year. They are grouping the Bextra cases in with the Celebrex. This will probably go on forever.

I have both a Vioxx and a Bextra case. 1 mth till my case was to close, they sent me a letter telling me they were not going to rep me and I had to get a new lawyer for the Vioxx case. 30 days, its gone now and I am hosed. I dont want this to happen to the Bextra case. Can someone help me. I have lost everything due to these drugs, my job, my health and my realationship. and my car. I am only 38 now I was 34 when the nightmare begain. Someone please help. I may get thrown out of my home now.

I HAD TO HAVE HEART SURGERY,LOST ABOUT 20-30% OF MY SIGHT,PLUS HAD MINI STROKES,I'M ON ALL KINDS OF MEDICATION AFTER THE SURGERY IT'S LIKE MY BODY IS JUST FALLING APART.I'M AT THE DOCTOR OFFICE 2-3 TIMES A MONTH FOR SOMETHING OR ANOTHER. I HAVE A LAWYER ,BUT HE NEVER CONTACT EVEN WHEN I CALL,AND LIEVE MESSAGES.I DON'T WANT TO GET RID OF HIM BECAUSE THERE NO ONE HERE THAT ACT LIKE THEY WAVT TO TAKE MY CASE.
