side effects

anyone experience any chest pain related to avodart?
near right breast like a muscle pull after doing bench presses (which I haven't done).

I started taking Åvodart about 3 weeks ago. I take it at night. A side effect is that it is very hard to get up in the morning. Fatigue that lasts for about an hour or so after I get out of bed. There are some effects of the fatigue throughout the day.
When I stopped taking it to see if Avodart was the cause of the problem, the fatigue disappeared and I felt much better. By the way, I'm also taking Flowmax, and it's having the same effect as Avodart. I'm thinking that for me, the more "conservative approach" is to have surgery. Filling your system with harmful chemicals over a long period of time, even if there are some helpful effects, does not seem conservative.

I have been taking Avodart for 7 weeks now and am so tired and fatigued. Went to see a doctor last week and all he would say after "consulting his book" was that tiredness is not a side effect of this drug. I am going to have to stop taking it.

I've been on Avodart for about 3 months. My sense of taste (and smell) are dramatically muted. Except that Beer now has a horrible taste. And coffee has a bad taste and smell.

I have not noticed any other side effects yet.

I am taking Avodart to improve chances of avoiding prostrate cancer after my older brother was recently diagnosed. I'm starting to think about going off it.

Watchful waiting is only helpful if you can monitor the cancer properly. These drugs give you a false feeling as they lower PSA counts.

If you want to go the natural way you may want to try Provantex with vitamin D lycopene green tea selenium... for prostate cancer B12 and coQ10 may help
I am presently taking B12 through bitter almonds. Not sure if they work. Will find out on next biopsy.

I tried all the herbs and the only relief was Flomax & Avodart. 3 months now with no side affects, except for no semen or orgasm. My dr said to stopo flomax for a day and that changes. So I schedule sex with my wife 1/week and it it great.

I am experiencing hamstring pain that has gotten progressively worse in the 3 months that I am taking Avodart. Have other people experienced such side effect? I am also on other BP medications such as diuretics.

Thanks, judt started a natural form of selinium and will tray for a few mothe (6) to see if that helps.
