I just wanted to say... I'm on the 10th day of Augmentin. I live in a two story house. Walking up and down the stairs this entire time has been extremely painful to my knees. My thighs have just begun hurting, it's pretty painful. I've also missed my period. All the doctors will tell you is that antibiotics interfere with birth control but one thing no one can tell me is if it makes you miss your period. I have endo so it's very unlikely that I'm pregnant. I believe any chemical that is strong enough to cause severe joint pain is strong enough to make you miss your period and god knows what else. I wanted to be the first person online to write about this. I've also had an extremely swollen abdomen since day 1, very painful stomach, increased appetite (probably due to impaired digestion) and diarrhea. Never before have I had such bad experiences with an antibiotic. I'd suggest people try to use a probiotic IN PLACE of an antibiotic. There are studies that show it works.
