Animal officer Suzanne Holy dies

Suzanne Holy once jumped into the Halifax River because a cat had waded into the water and was in distress.

My husband Ronnie and I are deeply saddened on hearing of Suzanne's death. She was a great friend, as well as a savior of the animals.
We will miss her greatly. It will not be easy to fill her shoes. May God wrap her in his arms.

Suzanne and stood in front of my house on Thursday, September 17th and spoke of our love of the out-of-doors and our love for kitty cats...I knew Suzanne for quite some time, through work at Halifax Health Medical Center (where she used to be employed and spent so much of her 'free' time helping to control the stray cats around the facility). I would help her catch the cats and she would take them to be fixed and then she would relocate them to a safe area. Suzanne was a loving and giving spirit and I know her angelic ways will continue to bless many in need. Time is so precious and as we all know, "You never know" when someone is on their way to a different world. I am so proud to have known Suzanne and I am thankful that our last words spoken were kind and loving.
God Bless You Suzanne as I know your are in a peaceful place of warmth and bliss. I will always remember you with a smile.
