Generic Donepezil

My father has just been prescribed Donepezil in the UK to help with his memory loss due to dementia.

Unfortunately his dementia is not deemed to be bad enough yet for him to be prescribed it for free through the National Health system; he therefore has to pay for it himself - about £135 for 28 10mg tablets.

I have found much cheaper generic versions of Donepezil available on-line from the USA which is manufactured in India.

Can anybody tell me if they have any experience of the use of generic Donepezil and is it as effective as the branded types?

I'll be very graeful for any help or advice please.

My uncle takes Aricept (Donepezil) from http://totaldrugs24.com/item/aricept.html It works good for him, really effective medicine.

I ordered Donepezil, generic Aricept twice from http://usadstore.com/category/general_health/... . One month supply costs about $70. I'm taking 5mg twice a day and it works quite well for me.
