Has anyone had hair start to grow back after it started falling out from Arava? My docotr wants me to continue to take it but my hair is falling out. It is working for my RA but not sure going bald is a good trade off/He wants me to start cyclosporin in additon hoping that will make my hair grow back

I have been taking it for 3 months and find that taking the supplement BIOTIN keeps my hair from falling out as much (much less!) It helped when I was on Methotrexate too. It's great!!

I just started arava a week ago, and already I am having trouble breathing and sleeping. It seems to be doing great for my arthritis pain, but this sounds too scary. How long did it take until you noticed your hair falling out?

I have been on Arava for a week this time, started it about a mo. ago and took it for 5 days and got scared from all the negative reports, hair loss etc. but I got my nerve up and started it again.
would like to know if the hair loss is severe, and if it guits thinning after your body adjusts. Wow if its not one thing its another. I am also still taking sulfasalazine.

I used Arava starting Dec. 2005...by January I was in the hospital with severe hives and skin rash. My allergist discovered that Arava can stay in your system for 2 years. She gave me Cholorestermine to pull out all of the Arava. It is a terrible drug in that it affects 12% taking it in some negative way. That is not good odds for a drug. One of my rheumotogists' patients had to have skin grafts because it scarred her so badly. It should be off the market NOW!

I took Arava for 3 years after most everything else available at that time did not help the arthritis.(RA and Psoriatic)

In about 3 weeks my arthritis pain completely diminished.(Before that I was in misery, could not even sleep without waking from pain.)

Did not have any hair loss from the Arava.

About 2 years ago I switched to Enbrel because I needed help with the psoriasis.(Arava don't help the psoriasis skin problems.) Enbrel did fine until 3 months ago, then stopped working. Will probably go back on Arava.

Im new to arava, been on it for 3 weeks now and so far love this product. I have tried methotrexate and it didn't help even when i used it over six months. But, Arava so far is doing well and i hope it keeps doing this great. Before it i couldn't dress myself sometimes, with it I am now doing laundry, cooking and cleaning again. I just hope it keeps up and that my hair stays.

I was on Arava for about three months and I have lost half of the hair I had on my head. I stopped taking it. Now my doctor is going to put me on Enbrel and see how that works. Anyone had any experience with that drug?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
