My question is should I treat my 4 year old daughter to Amoxicillin that's left over after her doctor prescribed her back in April 2006? She was treated for a vaginal discharge and I noticed that that infection is back.

I know is late but just writing for your future reference. If the discharge is white, then NO, consultant some other doctor. First check the expiry date.

Take a look at the expiration data. Liquid preparation of amoxicillin (http://www.originaldrugs.com/amoxicillin.shtm... ) may have a short shelf life.

I am 6 wks preg and i have and abscess. I have some Amoxicillin that expired on 02/24/08. Can i take this, i do not have dental ins, and can't afford to just go to the dentist.
