We need to do more to educate people about glaucoma. If we were to take a group of 1000 people in the population, 10 would have glaucoma. 5 would know about it and 5 would not ever have known. Another 80 would be suspicious and would need to be followed to make sure they stay normal over time. Public seminars, optometric detailed eye exams, ophtahlmological examinations and books are some ways to make sure you stay well informed.
