Hi everyone!
I just read all of your stories and it is such a relief to know that I am not the only one with Conn:). I am diagnosed with Conn's this may( after being sick and miserable for over 4 years, at least), and on the 15th of september I will go into surgery and the tumor will be taken out. I have to go to Belgium ( I live in Holland), because of the waitinglists here in Holland. Its almost funny, I have no idea wat it feels like to feel normal! Are there any women here who've had a baby after this surgery?.No doctor wants to give me an answer about familyplanning after Conn.Maybe because they dont kwow? Anyway, would really like to here from anyone who can answer my question....

Hi Janne,
Sounds like you and I are in the exact same predicament. What are they doing to confirm that it is active? My doctor is recommending taking a hormone sample from each adrenal gland to determine if the left one is producing more than the right (no tumor) one.
I too am very frustrated with the time all of this is taking. I am having a hard time seeing the logic in this extra "active" test. Why not get on with it and take the darn thing out? I'm tired of not feeling well. Do you find that you feel good somedays while totally weak on others? That is what I find hard to manage. One day I feel fine and the next I can barely move a muscle. I also get crazy headaches when my BP goes up really high.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. I'm very interested in seeing how you make out and how long it takes compared to here in Canada. I also find this forum nice for support and to know that I am not losing my mind...:)
Hi, I'm undergoing testing now to rule out Conn's, I've seen my family doctor and at least 7 emerg doctors. Things take so long and they tell you to go home and take it easy. I see you are from Halifax, tell me, did you find a specialist in the Maritimes, I'm from New Brunswick...

Hi - I had just found out I have Conn's syndrome back in April or May '06. You can see my post on the other Conn's syndrome forum where I posted to someone else. How are you now? What medication are you taking? I am taking Spironolactone which have given me awful side effects, but my doctor says I have to take the medication because the side effects are not life threatening. Sorry for the questions, but this is new to me and I haven't found another person online with this disorder.
If you want, you can email me

I would really appreciate it

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Pisces

This is a great day for understanding what's going on under the surface of things and for tuning into the subtle messages that others are sending out. For instance, someone may say one thing yet you'll be utterly convinced that they really mean something quite different. However, they won't like it if you say so, so you'll have to maintain a tactful and discreet silence.
