What Dosage of Actos should I take???

When I read the insert with Actos, I little to no benefit increasing the dose from 15 mg to 30 mg. In fact, in some of the measures, there was actually a degradation. I am currenlty on 30 mg and I am going to decrease to 15 mg becasue there is not benefit. Any comments?

I have just recently had Actos increased to 45 mgs
I wonder when is the best time of day to take it?
with meals and other Medications such as Metformin and
Gluconorm Or alone in afternoon?

If you are taking other diabetes medicine with the Actos you may only need the 15 mg. I would say to go with the doctors advice as to whether to decrease your mg. I don't really think decreasing will help get a better result, but I am not a doctor either so ask one before changing any dosages. I take the 15 mg. and I don't have any problems with it. Good luck!

I am taking 15mg Actos and it has brought my average b/g down to 140 from about 175. Should it be taken at bedtime or when rising in the morning, or does it make any difference?
