My acne is starting to come back after being off the drug for about 6 weeks. The pimples are very small and red, and are congregating around my chin. If I went back to my dermatologst, what kind of drug would he I be given. Would he put me back on Accutane or something?

For some people a 2nd course of Accutane is needed but it can only be given after you've been off the drug for 2 months so maybe it is time for you to see your Derm. again for he may put you back on it for a 2nd course and hopefully that will clear everything up even in long terms. Hope this helps.

Yeah, this is normal. Or it was for me. I've taken it 2 different times and each time it lasts about a year and a half and then things get oily again. I think I'm going to have to do a third since it's getting oily again and I just got a cyst after a long long break.

maybe a second round would finish the off. although some ppl i know have stopped after the first course and didnt mind the little tiny pimples that would show from time to time.

Some of my acne is starting to reappear also and I've been off of it the same amount of time as you have. If it keeps getting worse I think I will call my dermatoligist.

my 15 year old daughter had remarkable results from a five month accutane treatment; then suddenly in the eighth month after stopping treatment her face began to break out again; at first I thought it was just routine teenage breakout but it started on her cheeks and moved to her forehead within several weeks. None appears on her back or shoulders as it had before. So we are returning to her derm for an evaluation. I wanted to wait 6-8 weeks to see if it would run its course but it has developed so quickly that I think this is the better response. Sigh.

I've completed two full six-month rounds of Accutane, which were glorious at the time. The side effects were NOTHING compared to how great I looked and felt about myself. Unfortunately, approximately 6 weeks after finishing both times, the breakouts come back. It's not nearly as bad on the back, chest and arms - in fact, pretty much negligible, so that's a plus. However, the breakouts on my face are very significant and concentrated on the forehead. The occasional zit in other places around my face, but almost entirely on the forehead. It's heartbreaking, really. I'm 23 and have tried everything out there for the last decade, and not even the "miracle drug" is working for me. I don't really know where to go from here.

I'm on my 3rd course - i don't know why they say that this stuff permanently clears acne...i mean it's clear at first, then gradually the blemishes come until a few years later you're back to square one. boooo...

Generally speaking, 20mg/day for 6 months is not a very high dose. IIRC, the recommended cumulative dose should be something like 120-150mg per kg of body weight. With those guidelines, your dosage was sufficient only for somebody weighing about 30kg or 60lbs.

Hi everybody! I have been taking 80mg of tane for 3 months for bacne and its not getting better. It even got worse! I do not have a severe case of bacne, but rather moderate. Most of the time my bacne would be triggered by exercise/sweating. I'm wondering when it's supposed to get better and to kick in and clear my back up? How long does remission last with bacne? Thx

That's a really high dose - i'm surprised it's not better.... maybe you should try a few different things... since bacne is mainly caused by bacteria and not necessarily excess oil production (which accutane treats best), you should try antibiotics, a topical cream to dry out/kill bacteria in the pre-existing acne... and always make sure to wear cotton when working out to absorb the sweat and shower immediately afterwards and make sure to soap up your back with dove soap.

I've tried both original brand and generic accutane. I prefer generic accutane - There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site http://g-isotretinoin.info I've just placed my 3rd order.
Thanks for that address. http://g-isotretinoin.info has my pills within a week at my door. They perfectly work! I have found them very good value for money. My special discount coupon 1VQY12ZPi3

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Cancer

The question of who and what you should believe is never far away today. Someone could easily mislead you, although it's a moot point whether they do this intentionally or not. Or there could be a communication glitch that means no one knows what's going on. Be very careful when handling money because there could be lots of silly mistakes, and if you're really unlucky there might also be some double-dealing too.
