I have to go to Cabo in November and I will have been on accutane for almost 3mos at that point. I obviously will not be able to bake in the sun but how sensitive is your skin to the sun? I have not noticed any sensitivity as of now but I have not laid out.. just everyday things- such as walks in the park, bbq's and hanging around my backyard.
Im pretty nervous.. I dont want my vacation ruined but it is also for a wedding so I have to attend. If I put like 50 spf on will I be ok?

My sons use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunblock with
Helioplex. They both went to Lollapalooza for 3 days and did not burn.

Your dermatologist should recommend something.

Have fun!

I went on vacation this summer with my bf and I used a lot of sun screen. I applied it right after I washed my face in the morning. Also when I had to stay in the sun for a while, I wore my hat. I used Aveeno oil-free/45spf. It is very nice, non-greasy. My skin didn't break out, either. You can get it from any drug store(they have 55). 50spf should be enough,I think. But it depends on your skin condition though. If your skin is extremely sensitive, then you might go for 70. For everyday life, you should use at least 15-30 spf. I own 20 and 30, use them both(depends on the weather).

Have fun!

I had really bad sun sensitivity while I was taking Accutane.

SPF 15 is like 93% effective so don't waste too much money on the really high SPF products because they only add a few % of extra protection.

Just try to get sunblock everywhere that will be exposed to the sun, reapply often, and cover up when possible.

Have a good time.:)

My esthetician always tells me to carry at least 15-30 spf everyday for sun protection. Because UVA rays age your skin faster and cause hyper pigmentation. As a woman,I always care about it.

If you can afford it, it is best to buy higher protection. A few % makes a lot difference:)!

Im currently on accutane for about 1 month now and I use spf 55 sunscreen(neutrogena) . Its helps a lot. I also use a uv ray umberella, so its working out just fine with those products. I ordered the umberella from a online website called coolibar.Try to wear long sleeve all the time and avoid the sun when ever possible. Good luck.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Accutane)- canada-express-mall.com/products/accutane.htm... I received the order and it was on time and the pills work great.

If I am already very tan & start Accutane..... Do you think if I use sunscreen I can still work on my tan?... Like I'll be protected & could still be getting darker not just frying?

I took generic Accutane from http://g-isotretinoin.info three years ago. I figured it would be enough to give the pills a try and I was quite satisfied with the result. My skin was so clear, it was like I was 10 years old again. I loved it (though the dryness part sucked). No acne, no blackheads, totally smooth. I didn't wear any makeup for months. My acne did return later, but it has never returned to the level it was before. I control it now with a prescription topical and quality skincare products.

My daughter is now on Generic accutane. There is a process you have to go through. Birth control pills for at least a month. Lab tests. and then more lab tests every month to check for pregnancy and your triglycerides because they want to monitor your liver function. It is a powerful drug. But nothing else helped her. We tried pro active, antibiotics pills, antibiotic cream, retin -a. etc. She had nodular ,cystic acne. As soon as she got on the BCP, her acne started to clear up a bit. now, after being on a week and a half of accutane, she notices her pores shrinking. She had a breakout that pushed everything out of her pores to the surface, but that was just once and I havent seen that in awhile. Her lips and hands are cracking bad. So yes keep moisturized.
Plus where we live it is so dry. Also you need a sunscreen. The doc also recommended taking plain vitamin E capsules. Because that promotes moisture and healing.

I had 2 rounds of Generic accutane. My skin would be clear for 6 months and then break out again. Some of the side effects I experienced were, dry skin, terrible dried lips (Which to this day have never recovered), hair loss but I also got a lot of peach fuzz for some odd reason, and nose bleeds.
For a lot of people this is a good medication, it just didnt work for me. Well, I should say I dont get big cysts anymore. My breakouts are caused by my hormones. I have come to the realization that there is no cure for acne and all I can do is maintain my skin as best as possible. My breakouts are really minimal & more of an annoyance than anything else.

I have been on Generic Accutane twice. Both times, I started seeing results within 1-2 months and both times, my acne returned within 6 months after I stopped taking it. It really did work while I was on it but the results didn't last for very long.
I had terrible side effects - aching joints, bloody nose, cracked lips, dry eyes, reduced nightime vision, hair loss - just to name a few.
For me, the short term effectiveness and the terrible side effects weren't worth it, but I know some people have much better experiences with Accutane so I hope it works well for you.
p.s: g-isotretinoin.info works great )

I bought accutane 20mg 120 pills on this site. I've been on accutane for about a month and half now. I also broke out really badly during like the first two weeks. But after that it reduces significantly and it'll be ok. Dryness around the mouth also happenes to me and it's peeling like crazy. Lips, nose also get severely dry, i just use some moisturiser. Drink a lot of water.

Generic Accutane was a godsend for me! I've done 3 full dose treatments of Accutane and 1 therapeutic of Sotret (Generic Accutane.) The only side effects I had throughout the treatments was dry skin/chapped lips. I know a lot of people who have done Accutane treatments with wonderful results, including my husband.I think it's unfortunate the bad rap that Accutane has received. In my opinion, it's benefits outweigh its "potential" negatives.

I've tried both original brand and generic accutane. I prefer generic accutane - There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site http://z-isotretinoin.info I've just placed my 3rd order.

I have been on this from http://g-isotretinoin.info for 3 months now and have noticed a massive improvement of my acne. The acne on my back is practically non existent and the amount on my face has dramatically improved. I got lots of comments today saying how face has cleared up since I last saw these people 2 weeks ago. I now have much less acne on my face and it expected to all be gone in 3 more months forever. I am currently on 60mg a day one at morning and 2 at night and I am a 15 year old female. I have had some back pain when I play my weekly sport and dry lips but that is all the side effects I have had.
