smoking while on accutane

my derm told me not to smoke or drink while on this drug. i understand the drinking part but what about smoking. if anyone who is underage and asked there derm about smoking cigs/herb hit me up.

well of course if you ask a doctor if you should smoke cigs/herb while on anything they're gonna say not to cause everyone knows its bad for you. as for me, i take accutane and smoke weed and ciggs all day everyday and the accutane still works great for me. i actually find that whenever i try to quit smoking weed i break out way more.

idddd just like to say i have blazed up herb many times while on accutane and it does nothing. and my doctor told me that he would LIKE to tell me that smoking effects it.. but in reality it doesnt.

I'm gonna try to quit smoking the cigs because I wanted to quit anyways cause Ive been smoking for 10 years, but the ganja will not be sacrificed, i don't see how it could mess up the treatment.

I was on accutane for about a year and my face is now perfect. I also smoked a bit before it and while on it, and let me just say, It fucked me up like no other. My theory is, accutane does cause some depression in most people, and if you mix that in with some severe high paranoia, it is not fun. As with herb, it is different for all people. To me, it felt like i took 3 hits of acid and went into the streets of Detroit at night. Fucking scary!
So in conclusion, if you are a very experienced smoker and never get ANY paranoia, then go ahead. But if you do get the paranoia, think twice about it.

what about the blood testing? can drugs show up on the blood tests you have to take once a month?

no i smoked weed right before my bloodtests and it was fine, they can only see drugs if they are looking for them, they only look for increase in cholesterol and liver damage, so your in the clear.

hey peoplei im on accutane and i smoke cigs, the reason it is bad is becuase, concentrated froms of vitamin A (accutane) mixed with ciggarettes bumps up your chances of getting cancer about 70%.
just my two cents. haha
so if you dont mind cancerm keep on puffin. weed dont matter, unless you get anxiety paranoia, take klonopin or xanax or atevan before you smoke!!

No nottin happens.. weed stays in ur blood for a while still.. so sokin a day b4 blood test or a week b4 it.. wont make a differ... But shudnt smoke allota weed while on accutane.. makes u feel paranoia... and it can screw with ur head... happend to me.. but i still do it.. Haha.... well thts me..

Like a poster said above. Mixing extreme amounts of Vitamin A with cigarettes for an extreme amount of time can almost guarantee cancer later in life.

I have been on tane for one month, i smoke herb and everything is ok. except i noticed after i smoked my skin and eyes felt extremely dry. or i was just paranoid and it was just a normal symptom from the tane.
so spread the ganja love around!!!!!
