I have to say that the Roche Accutane works the best. Amnesteem only works half as well I've found. On my first round I used the name brand kind and was clear within a month. On my second round I used Amnesteem and I was still breaking out after two months. Once I switched to the name brand I was clear within weeks.

I also just purchased acnotin but have not yet recieved it. Has anyone heard anything about acnotin?
I am taking acnotin 10 mg for 3 days already. My dermatologist prescribed me to take it 2x a day and drink plenty of water. Actually before taking this drug, I made few research about it and i read a lot of good reviews but still there is fear in me because of the various side effects that i may experience like the increase in blood fats and depression. So I advice you to have a monthly blood test of your blood lipids most especially your cholesterol. Right now I'm in a major diet cuz I'm afraid that my cholesterol level will increase.

I am in Claravis Isotretinion and I have been on it for like 16 days and I have broke out worse than when I wasn't taking it!!! Is that normal? I'm so confused. Anyone out there please comment!! Thank you.

Hi. You must read leaflet please.
"Your acne may get worse when you first start taking Accutane. This should last only a short while. Talk with your doctor if this is a problem for you."
Good luck.

Thank you so much for your feedback. If you took it how long or did you even break out after you started taking the pill. I have talked to my doctor and she said it could take up to 3 months and her assistant said a month!! So they are not on the same page I don't think. So that is why I am trying to get some feedback from people that have actually taken it. Again thank you soooo much!!

Where in the world do you find a months supply for $150? The cheapest I can find is around $450 for 60 pills. I would love to find it for $150. The $450 is for a generic brand at that

I have asked a lot of people and most of them have said that the generic verses the "real deal" is the exact thing and I hope they are right. I have only heard from one person that there is a difference and it didn't work for her. I am on the generic Claravis. I take 80mg a day and so far I have only been on it for a month. I am breaking out really bad but everyone has told me that is gets way worse before it gets better. I have only gotten one nose bleed and I have extremely dry skin. My lips feel like they are falling off. My doctor told me that I have to be on it for 5 months and I could break out for a couple months. She also said that the smaller zits are harder to get ride of it is targeted for the bigger ones. But she did garrentee that is would work she said that she has NEVER had a case that didn't. Also if you are ordering offline then a lot of the time they send people fake stuff so be careful!! Anymore wuestions just let me know and I will tell you what my DR. said!! Good luck.

You are an idiot and you are part of the problem with this country. Instead of looking for the root cause of your problems, you try to blame others or even companies. Because of you and your group of people, it is now a huge pain in the ass to get Accutane, a perfectly safe and effective drug.
Are you ignorant? You hail these companies like they are PERFECT in every way and judge others while they try to make a opinion.

Open your eyes....Accutane is good but also a last resort. You say this drug can't cause sucidal thoughts yet it can give babies 3 eyes and 3 legs?

I would say your much more of a problem then he his,not only do you shoot down people but obviously choose to ignore the warning of the drug and hail it as perfect just because it works for you even IF the companies themselves tell you its possible dangerous. Its people like you that take this drug to lightly and end up suing the company because you thought nothing could happen.

Fyi-I have no problem against people who use this drug considering im using it myself and most people here are educated enough not to shoot others down.

Just because some people on the medication suicide, so many other people using the med. correctly and seeing great results. I think in a democratic free society it is unfair to punish all the people for the ones that had a problem with. The number one issue about accutane is the pregnancy side effects, but trust me you could take over the counter vitamin A and have the same side effects. It is too sad that so many people take a medication and they are not doing what they are suppose to. For example, while on accutane you shouldn't become pregnant, drink alcohol and common sense like with anything else have a healthy lifestyle. It makes me mad seeing people eating like pigs, doing nothing to improve their health (mental or physical) and then they blame everything on the pill. After all you have a choice "IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT DO NOT TAKE IT!!! BUT ALLOW ME TO TAKE IT TOO BECAUSE THAT IS MY RIGHT. And if something does happen to me I will not blame the company that made the drug or the goverment, I am aware of the side effects and I am willing to pay the price!

I would like some feedback how long did you guys break out before it started working!!!! My face looks like hell and its been a month and a half. Georgia I completly agree with you. There are over 250,000 prescriptions of accutane given out a year and I'm sure that out of those 250,000 people some have been suicidal or had the tendency to be or even thoughts. So now when a prescription is given out and God forbide something happens it's blammed on the drug. People want excuses and if it is easier to blame it on a drug or the person themselves its going to be the drug. I don't disagree with becoming somewhat depressed on the drug but not due to the drug. I am depressed that my face looks like shit but not to go as far as suicide trust me! I wish people would just leave it alone. People choose to take accutane that is our right. I think that people should stay off this page that have anything negative to say about it.

I've been on accutane before without insurance in 2003 and it completely cleared my acne, but unfortunately I'm starting to break out again...this time with really painful nodules. I'm planning on going back on accutane again. Can anyone tell me how much money I'll save with an insurance plan? And how much is the average cost of accutane treatment overall?

I almost lost my insurance during my first month of accutane. My insurance covers every part of it. I have to pay a co-pay for the perscription of $30 and a co-pay to be seen at the doctors office of $30. It would of costed me about $600-$800 dollars a month without it including office visits. Plus you have to get your blood drawn for the first two months and blood work is REALLY expensive. I couldn't find an insurance company to take me on for accutane becuase it was a pre-existing condition. So make sure if you get insurance to stay with that insurance because it is hard to find one that will honor it. Some people order it off the internet but I think in my own opinion that is safer to go through a doctors office. But thats just my opinion.

I started Sortet in Aug. 07, side effects kicked in fast. My face was going crazy for about 2 months. I'm on my 4th month now and I have ZERO pimples. Be patient, it'll be worth it!

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
