i get dry dry lips from producd and smelly feet it not nice i hate producd i also just find out i am severly anamic and low b12 vitamin. my skin not clear finished producd 2 months previous and still have side effects also my eyesight is f**k*d!

I have been on Accutane on a very low dosage, 3 20 mg capsules in Jan 09, 1 capsule in Feb and 1 capsule in March. I have not taken any accutane after 1st week of march.
My wife is pregnant since last week of March.
After reading all these posts here I am very concerned about safety of my wife as well as our baby.
Can any one help me out in explaining the chances of ANY problems due to consumption of Accutane

Look after reading all of theses posts im freaked way out to say the least.... I dont know what to believe. Ive been on acutane for 4 days now and im experiencing dry skin on my face chest and back (where i have acne). I came here cuz i have heard stories of people who have taken this drug and have had issues im on a 40mg capsule of claravis twice a day im drinking a ton of water and wearing lotion but what scares me are all these people who have long term side effects. i wanna get off of it before its too late or should i keep going. does anyone have any advice.

i forgot to mention the fact that i have been feeling tired alot lately... i dont know if this is from staying up to late cuz its the summer and im 17, along with this my eyes feel sore not burning like sore when i move them.. my ankles are also very sore when i first wake up... i just dont wanna mess myself up for life because of my acne at 17

Yeah u should be freaked out!! Because of the big smelly nasty turds u will have. I know I did but in all reality it really does work and I had no major side effects just the regular dry lips and skin..

All of u people that want to sue the company are dumb! It tells u the side effects enclosed with the medicine. Your derm should have told u the side effects also that's why they usually try other medicines first before this. Any medicine is bad when u have to get bloodwork done every two weeks. You won't get very far if you try to sue the company.

First off, you should not be taking this drug for years. You do 6 months, and if neccessary (very few) another 6 months. That's it! If it doesn't clear up you acne by then, it won't. Also, you MUST have labwork done every month. My son had to in order to go get his prescription from the derm. He is fine now. Skin is clear. Tans fine. No long term side effects. Go to a reputable dermatologist if you are going to be on the drug and follow the rules.

Actually you are only supposed to be on it for 14 weeks. Any REAL derm will tell you that. Because accutane cuts off your oil glands.

Accutane made me grow a monster penis I'm now tied with John holmes for the largest in porn!! But I had big smelly turds that plugged up the toilet I literally had to break them in half before I flushed. Also I got alot of dingle berrys too. So I had to shave my buttcrack.

I recently wen to the bathroom the other day and i noticed my urine was really dark like pretty much looked almost like mudd.. kind of had me worried. Did Any 1 else experience anything similar? my sister is a nurse and said im probably just dry and need to drink more fluids.. So Far My urine was like that twice.. once today and once yesterday. So if anyone experienced this or has anything to say let me no... Thanks !!!

I started on Roaccutane when I was 14. When I was 19 I began experiencing symptoms of IBS. I still (at 21) cannot eat anything containing gluten or dairy. I also have to avoid sugar as best I can. Oh and fatty foods I have to keep an eye on as well.
I have also experienced chest pains (and ended up in the ED once). The symptoms settled when I stopped drinking as much caffeinated tea (weird I know).
Finally I have a really really dry scalp.

It's my third week and my skin is getting darkened spots with more acne. Is it normal with use of Accutance? Im thinking of discontinuing.

I think that is normal. Mine got worse before it got better. Also, I am left with some scars on one cheek that I don't think I would have had without going on Accutane. That said, the acne will get better, and then you can get laser to remove any scarring.
