*update*
Desoximetasone has helped a lot. I have been applying it twice a day and now the rash is noticeably better. My skin is much smoother and less red. I started taking Accutane again today, i am going to stay with 40g. I also developed a sty on my eyelid. The dr said it was from eye being too dry, not blinking enough and not using enough eye drops. Contacts don't help, either. I ordered glasses, hopefully that will ease my eyes. |

OMG I have been suffering with teh same rash that you guys speak about it showed up from out of no where like 3 months ago it got so bad that I went to the Dr like 3 times they all told me it was a fungus. I e xperienced te dry lips as well and my hands burned and itched so bad that I couldn't sleep. I was given Lotrisone and it started clearing up. It cleared completely but I have noticed that within the last few days it is reappearing again!!

I've been one accutane for almost a week now, and i started noticing my rash on the second day i started taking it. It's not severe, but it definatley is really annoying to get rid of. Try some hydrocortisone cream and some liquid benadryl-both work extremely well! Also, one of the key things you should do is moisturize and it keeps most of it at bay. I guess this is what it takes to have clear skin, and really, it's not that bad '']
Hope it heals! |

If you shut off your natural acidic oils with accutane that produce a micro layer of protection on your entire body you are just asking for fungal and staph infections. That micro acidic oil mantel is your protection from pathogens and is there for a reason. What sense does it make to trade acne for staph infections like folliculitis or fungal infections when the acne was just the result of a sh#tty diet and could have been corrected by eating properly.......... as in raw food. Never, ever put hydrocortisone or any other steroid on your skin unless you want permanent, irreversable skin thinning. Antibiotics and steroids are two of the sleaziest drugs used in the industry and both compound and create new problems. You want really bad skin problems then use antibiotics and steroids then you will wish you had acne. The more you rely on these drugs the worse you will get. |

I also have a rash on the tops of my hands and the start of my wrist. It seems to be the worst and itchiest when i wake up in the morning. I havent tried any creams. For some reason I feel like I need to dry it out, so I run my hands under hot water, wash them, then rub a little rubbing achohl on them. I'm sure this probably isnt the best thing to do, being the rash is still here, and going on about 2 or so weeks, but after I dried them out, I moisterise them and the itching, bumbs, and redness goes down termindnessly. I've never been one to have acne or sensitive skin, nor allergys for that matter, so I'm not sure whats going on either. I also dont have a rash around my mouth or a bloody nose, so does anyone have any ideas or comments about my rash? Or anyone have the same problem?
And P.S.... Good luck to everyone else, and I hope you find a solution to your rashes. |

I had a small dark spot appear on my hand out of no where about a year ago... I couldn't stand it, and so i would touch it and scratch it and instead of it healing, it got worse - now a year later i continue to scratch it because it's disgusting and i just want it to go away. I feel embarassed to wear a t-shirt because I'm disturbed by that spot! so i wear long sleeve shirts :( I haven't tried asking the doctor yet.. any suggestions of what i should use to FINALLY get rid of the ugly dark spot?

I have just started on Oratane which is the generic in australia. My right hand started and has healed by itself, now its on my left hand, also the top of my hands. I tried bepanthen cream which is prescibed for baby's nappy rash, and it got better in 2 days. The cream is really good moisturiser as well. But my point is that I have taken Roaccutane (not the generic brand) before about 4 years ago, and had very minor side-effects, just dry lips. With the generic brand I have found that I get more of the side effects. Dont know if anyone has experienced the same? |

My doctor gave me roaccutane for 7 months. As per him 10 kg weight means 1 month. but on 6th month my body started itching and now after stopping the itching is more and body full of black rashes. It's versoning day by day even after stopping the medicine. Now it's 3rd month i stopped medicine. Still itching on full body. And I consulted a derm in india and he told me that only 4 - 5 months max you should take roacutane. 7 month is over dose..Please adivise how to reduce this itching?

My son was also on solodyn and was told he had to be off it a week prior to starting accutane. He has gone through some side affects like dry skin, painful breakout that came after a week and lasted just a few days, bloody noses - not anymore (it's been almost 1 1/2 months) derm told him to put neosporin in his nose. Never had a rash though. |

I also had the rash on my hands form Accutane. I went to see my nurse and she gave me Aquaphor and other moisturizers. It was helping, but rather slowly (after few weeks you could still see some bumps), so I went to see my doctor. He gave me Fluocinonide cream(you need prescription for that) and the rash was gone after just 2 days! It's amazing, you might want to ask your doctor about that.
