i started getting the small red rash on the top of my hands. I havent touched it at all hoping it will go away on its own. It doesnt itch or hurt, i hope that is a good thing. I saw some pictures on the internet of rashes caused by Accutane and it freeks me out. I have been on it for 14 days and i hope i make it through the first 2 months.

After my dosage got upped to 60 mg (I think), my hands broke out in a bumpy red rash. I cut my dose back down to 30 (just one pill) and it went away overnight!

ooh jeez i'm sooo damn itchy its unreal, and gets even worse if i itch it, but its not an itch that can be ignored!
i grab the nearest, most abrasive thing possible and just scratch away in euphoria then realise i've just been mutilating myself! my skin gets all white blotches where i've been itching, kinda like i've been stung, its not right!
IS this because i'm not moisturising my body, its really only the skin on my face which LOOKS dry.

guys take some sort anti histamine or something like that for allergies and heyfever such as piriton it works like a treat... makes the tiredness far worse mind - dont take them in the mornings unless you plan to rot around. otherwise take them at night to stop the itching and actually get some sleep! I've stopped taking them now and i'm here scratching my damn skin off!

I've been on Accutane for approx. two weeks. I don't have terrible acne, it's just mild, but other treatments were not working. I think I'm on a pretty low dosage right now.
Well, last week, my hands started to dry out--the top, not my palms. My skin started cracking and peeling, and now it has turned into a bumpy red rash, COVERING my hands. It's disgusting.
What the hell is it?! Has anyone else gotten something similar?
And this is in addition to the EXTREMELY chapped lips and dry skin around the mouth. Not to mention a few nosebleeds.
Ya I have been on Acutain for like five months and I thought that he rash on my arms were from something else I have been doing. Then I fially put it together that it might have to be with Acutain and I found this site. Ha now I am worry free. Its not to bad it itches a little but its only on my lower arms and its dry and red and especially when I go inside my school which is really hot all the time, my arms get pretty red too, as if I have a sunburn. My forearms start to look like lobster color. Does anyone else's arms get really red, sometimes from the Acutain?

yUp, im starting my 4th mOnth of accutane and i have a nasty rash on my hands to0. I work for a dermatologist and the only thing i fOund that works is a steroid cream called Cloderm and a ton of Cetaphil cream. My lips arent that chapped considering it is winter time too. I just use str8 vaseline on top of my regular chap stick, it seems like a lot but it makes my lips soft..well as soft as they can be while on accutane. Im just glad all these side effects are temporary. I guess i really cant complain too much, there are worse things that can happen. go0od luck to all of yall, and hang in there, its only 6 months!!!!!

I have the exact same thing as you do. The rash on the hands, the dry skin around the mouth with chapped lips, everything. I've been on Sotret (Another form of Isotretinoin) for a little under a month and the dryness just started getting really bad. I called my doctor today and he called in a prescription for Desonide Ointment. It's really greasy, but it's providing some immediate relief. I'll have to get back to you when it's had time to start working. Best of luck to you!
