Accutane was initially designed as a chemo cancer drug.
http://www.chemocare.com/BIO/accutane.asp They found that one "side effect" is that it shrank oil glands. So the pharm industry marketed it through the dermatology industry as an acne drug. Question. Do you think for a second that this powerful drug is not only shrinking your oil glands but doing other harmful things to your cells and and cellular processes of your body? Amazing how many drugs the industry gives "multiple use" for. That micro oil layer on your skin naturally provides the skin with softness, flexibility and most importantly bacterial and fungal protection. After accutane you get new problems. Constant dry skin, Bacterial and fungal infections of the skin. You will not feel comfortable in your skin after accutane if you decide to take this drug. There is no turning back. |

yeh, but have you suffered from acne before?

You’re correct in what you have stated here, but you cannot govern through fear. For many this is the only viable option including myself. The side effects have been awful and I can't say for certain if in fact the treatment has worked, time will dictate that. I have read your past posts and they are all in similar tone and discourse based on your personal experience with the medication. Naturally you want to inform others which is fantastic though from a point of view that is slightly biased. No one should tread lightly in making a decision to begin a treatment like accutane. However; chosen to do so there are many things one can do to help minimize side effects that are either imminent or of things to come. |

Judged: 1 "This is the only viable option" Funny how people will do anything including harm their body permanently before they overhaul their diet. What accutane users want is to be able to drink soda, candy, french fries, processed wheat, pastries and other crap and be free acne. So the Dermatologist, who is nothing but a quack in a white coat who feeds us an illusion of skin health because he/she went to college for "x" amount of years and is the "expert" in skin diseases says, "Here take this chemo drug and you can continue to eat like shit. Your pores slam shut, but the garbage still circulates in your lymph system, liver, kidneys. Dermatologists are nothing but a medium for distribution via the pharm industry. They understand NOTHING about skin diseases. They are part of the same disease-for-profit industry that induces disease using their two favorite sleazy tools. Antibiotics and steroids. Thats why patients with acne are first given antibiotics. They make you worse on purpose. Then they tell you "we have accutane "as a last resort" They trick you further into thinking their drug is your only source of hope. Do these quacks ever talk about true nutrition? NO. Do the quacks ever talk about immediate replacement of probacteria following antibiotics? No. Over half of the immune system is produced by probiotic organisms. My bottom line is the quack industry ensures patients move to the next step. More drug sales. Ever heard of a condition of the gut called "Dysbiosis" Funny how every quack dermatologist never tells you this before writing those antibiotic prescriptions and how this in fact causes acne to become worse and fuel the growth of candida albicans, fungus and staph to overrun the body. Now throw accutane induce dry skin on top of that. According to the quacks we dont need healthy flora in our guts. Unbelievable. "I cant say for certain whether the treatment has worked". High price to pay in terms of permanent damage for such questionable results. "you cannot govern through fear" Tell that to the accutane victims on this board who have had things like the rectum/colon removed and replaced with a clostomy bag, a teenager with liver damage and subsequent diabetes. Now with diabetes you are forced to eat properly whether you like it or not. kind of ironic isnt it? Women that have lost their hair. And many more horror stories here. You cant "minimize" this type of damage. For what? questionable results. |

Well then... ok, I'll bite! Yes Silverado we have all read your detailed approach to a healthy life style, you certainly seem to have it all figured out and dressed with a ribbon! It's not that some of your points aren't valid though your whole approach depreciates the value of it. First and foremost you make easy assumptions, transcribe them to fit into some quasi statement that suites your own personal interpretation. Of course you can't just spill out nonsense; so you indeed do your homework (and it shows based on your threads) and ram them down people throats, while not illustrating the entire story. There are too many variables to be certain as to what the physiological effects will be outside of the common side effects associated with vitamin A toxicity. Much of the technical information you bring to the forum is good, what you omit is the component of varying physiology. My experience with taking Accutane has most likely brought more questions than answer; however this is no different than prior to treatment as no real diagnosis was established. No hasty decisions were then made to simply give me the next strongest medication, rather a well thought out approach which was not acted upon until almost one year after first symptoms. What I have theorized about is a possible link to genetics, not only as a cause of cystic / nodule acne but how Accutane interacts with the body. There are many in my family spanning generations that were subjected to the same condition junk food or not, in addition the side effects that accompany the medication may in fact work on genetic predispositions dictating which ones affect the individual. I base this on my own observations, research and personal experience. Junk food is not the best thing, I think we all can agree on that, its first grade stuff right? How much intake impacts or creates acne is always in a constant state of argument. But for our purpose here lets say it does create acne. That would mean that Nabisco is in bed with the doctors who are in bed with the pharmacy who are in bed with the insurance company. Ok... I'll bite again! Now I'll agree the health care industry has long been in bed with many of the various counterparts. But I dare say it borders being delusional to believe Dermatologists’ alike is deliberately withholding information to keep their patients sick. It’s simply not that cut and dry and if there is merit to it, it is more likely the result of the evolution of science attempting to pace demand and industry, within the boundaries of capitalism. Remove the competition and you essentially have watered down the system that doctors cannot practice, treat and expand appropriately. Your correct in saying they lead the patient in steps, well of course they do, process of elimination, last I checked that's scientific procedure correct? When it comes to patients deciding whether the treatment is correct for them or not tends to be more the issue than those prescribing it. Lets face it people instill too much trust in doctors, don't ask the right questions or worse don't ask at all. Probiotics are a critical part of this equation yes, healthy diet, vitamins, but individual genetics also plays a big part. I would urge anyone considering it to review their family history and obtain as much knowledge as possible on the subject matter. |

I overhauled my diet to two very different strict forms for months at a time. I tried the "Paleo" diet for half a year and a low fat vegan type diet (still had fish and the ocassional cheats) for four months. Yes, my acne did improve, but not by THAT much. It wasn't worth the effort honestly. I am going to start taking accutane soon.
PS (I also exercise frequently, get sun exposure, and take lots of vitamins good for acne) |

Diet is certainly a key component to staying healthy and keeping adverse issues at a minimal. Probiotics such as acidophilus should be included in your daily routine, this helps maintain a healthy digestive track. Also DanActive drinks are a good investment and can be found at your local market. Watch out for ingredients in certain foods (veggies) that contain vitamin A levels as this will increase chance of toxicity. I also recommend fish oil capsules as not only is fish oil good for cholesterol but also helps moderate mood. Why is this important? Accutane is said to decrease secretion levels in the brain, you'll need a little pick me up and fish oil can help! In addition Accutane patients can often times experience joint pain, fish oil or a combo of omega 3, 6, and 9 can help ease the pain. I also like to add in the following to my morning routine when taking medication. Garlic Capsules Vitamin C 1000 Mg And occasionally Vitamin B complex. Small meals throughout the day seem to help minimize nausea, keep them well balanced your going to need the energy. 5 Month treatments go by fast but takes a toll on the body so keep up your routine! Plenty of rest, lots of water, meditation, self observation! |

Judged: 1 Silverado took Accutane and now has latent long term side effects as a result of the severe vitamin A toxicity syndrome induced by this drug. It's not a conspiracy theory. I can show you over a dozen examples of Accutane's maker Hoffman-La Roche attempting to cover up severe and deadly side effects throughout the past 25 years that Accutane's been on the market (FDA warning letters, Congressional Hearings, Adverse Drug Reaction reports, etc.) The FDA has never really done anything other than a slap on the hand to punish Roche for their blatently outrageous criminal behavior. The information on how Accutane works, its pharmacology, and how it causes an endless range of severe side effects has been hiding in plain sight for a quite a long time now. I've put everything together into a comprehensive research report expose. I'd strongly suggest you enlighten yourself by downloading my report at the link below and read it. https://www.yousendit.com/download/ZW9DcmxRT0... |

All of you naive ignoramuses who are buying Accutane on the internet, you have no idea what you're putting into your body. These spammers need to get the f u c k out of here, where are the moderators, taking a vacation? Let's find out where these spammmers are located and turn them in to the authorities for peddling the toxic drug Accutane over the internet. They are in the business of dispensing poison and we must bring them to justice for it.

I ordered accutane from http://worldtrustmeds.info/item/accutane.html nature meds, it came in less than a week, I just started taking 20 mg, and Im starting to dry out, which was similar to the previous 2 treatments of prescription accutane in the past. The pills, and box look legit, but so far would recommend.

Accutane from http://worldtrustmeds.info changed my life in a positive way. I can deal with the flushing and photosensitivity 1000% times more than the bleeding cysts, pain, embarrassment, frustration, and uncomfortable stares. I no longer scrutinize my face every morning. I no longer fear hugging up against loved ones or letting my boyfriend touch my face. I wear my hair down. I'm not a crusty oil slick at the end of the day. I don't wake up with blood or pus on my pillow. I can comfortably leave the house without makeup. |

High dose Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B5) is the best natural supplement for acne you can take. It works for over 90% of people. If you're serious about getting rid of acne, this is a vitamin you must take. It doesn't have any major side effects like Accutane and the cost is low.
Common amounts to take are about 10 grams of pantothenic acid a day, in divided doses, such as 2500mg x 4, taken with food. Search for the study done by Lit-Hung Leung, M.D. and published in the Journal of Orthromolecuar Medicine. |
I'm was 120 mg per day of Accutane for 6 months. I've had few side effects and none of them were serious. All side effects that I had were treatable. I had acne that I struggled with for 5 years. I'm a professional dancer so you best believe I eat healthy. I have a nutritionist and I plan on going to school to be a nutritionist in a few years. My acne got me to a point where I wanted to lay in bed and hide my face for the rest of my life. Being a professional dancer, my chest, back, and arms would be visible to thousands of people. I couldn't have the acne that I had and live my dream career. Acne ruined my self esteem and held me from being successful. My dermatologist waited 5 years before giving me Accutane. Accutane saved my life. You might have had a bad experience with it, but mine was life changing (for the better). I would never recommend Accutane to anyone, but I figured people should see successful experiences as well. |
