Alex, what mg do you take? Did you have any breakout or pain? My son is on day 9 and has been breaking out, his nose hurts, and it hurts to move his mouth - the breakout is around his lips, chin. He takes 90mg daily (50 morning, 40 night).

Glad you are doing well!

I use Aveeno "Active Naturals" Daily Moisturizing Lotion With Sunscreen SPF 15 for my face and Aquaphor on my lips, however I'm thinking of trying a different lip balm (Dr. Dan's or Burt's Bees).

Problem #1.
You are shutting off sebum with accutane. Sebum keeps your skin supple and soft and from premature wrinkles and dry cracks.
Sebum and P-acne bacteria are your friends, not your enemies or something that must be destroyed. It is the dirty protein in your diet that is responisble for your acne.
When the protective microlayer of acidic oil mantle is destroyed by accutane you have lost your natural defense mechansim to keep out staph and fungus. Your skin will be fragile and wounds will take forever to heal.
Problem #2
When you use moisturizers as a result of using accutane you are causing moisture transfer from the top layer of skin to the second layer of skin which accelerates aging of the top layer. You will never win.
So what would be the perfect diet to prevent the bacteria know as acne from producing

I haven't read all of silverado's posts so I don't know exactly what his argument is, but as far as I can tell, diet has relatively nothing to do with acne, at least nodular acne. I've been a vegan for 3 years and I eat incredibly healthy. It hasn't done anything for my acne, whatsoever. Acutane works and that's a fact.

As many people suggest, I also use Aquaphor, although it does make your lips a bit shiny. I also use Aveeno as a moisturizer, but I normally have to apply it 3 times per day. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once at night. That's sort of a problem if I'm out all day.

Vaseline at night helps protect from my lips chapping more..but if they get incredibly flakey I use the Bliss Sugar Scrub for lips and then Badger Balm after. It gets off the dead skin and the balm replenished any moisture loss. As for my dry face, the Clarisonic worked wonders getting off some of the dry patches without irritating, but I am off to buy a heavy facial cream for night time since the one I was using was a light daily moisture, and it just was not doing what I needed. I hope this helps.

I am 4 months in on my 2nd round of accutane.

Here are the things that work for the side effects:(and I've tried almost everything)

1 - Dr Dan's Corti Balm . Order it online, around $5, it is the ONLY thing that saved my lips from bleeding. Keep it with you at all times.
2 - Korres Rose Sleeping Facial. This runs a about $50. Not really a facial or mask but a heavy moistuizer. Two times a day.
3 - Avacado - mash it up and make a mask. Super hydrating.

Hope it helps!

I've tried both original brand and generic accutane. I prefer generic accutane - There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site http://z-isotretinoin.info I've just placed my 3rd order.

I have been on this from http://g-isotretinoin.info for 3 months now and have noticed a massive improvement of my acne. The acne on my back is practically non existent and the amount on my face has dramatically improved. I got lots of comments today saying how face has cleared up since I last saw these people 2 weeks ago. I now have much less acne on my face and it expected to all be gone in 3 more months forever. I am currently on 60mg a day one at morning and 2 at night and I am a 15 year old female. I have had some back pain when I play my weekly sport and dry lips but that is all the side effects I have had.

I started Accutane when I was 17. My skin looked really bad. I had pimples on my face approaching the size of dimes. The acne went over my shoulders, down the front of my chest and down to the bottom of my back. I tried all the creams and fancy products and nothing worked. My doctor finally put me on a round of Accutane from http://g-acne-treatment.info . The first dose I was on for a couple of months didn't do much, so the doctor doubled it. Within six months, my acne was almost all gone and I stopped treatment. Within 18 months I had zero acne and zero scarring - my skin was utterly flawless and still is. I am now basically cured of acne - less than half a dozen pimples in ten years. Miracle.

I fought with acne throughout my teenage years and tried everything to get rid of it (proactiv, neutrogena, retin-a, clean and clear, you name it). I experienced quite an initial breakout soon after I started accutane but was expecting it and told myself my skin would get better. I’m now in the last week of my treatment and my skin is flawless. I haven’t had a single zit in 3 months, and scars from my previous breakouts are fading. If your in doubt that accutane can solve your acne frustrations, don’t be. Survive the first two months or so of accutane and you will be rewarded with the complexion you’ve always wanted.

Before I went on accutane from http://fastacnetreat.info I had tried EVERYTHING... constant Cremes, Benzyol Proxide, 3 different antibiotics, retin A Creme... you name it I used it. None of these things really worked for me; it would only suppress my acne. BTW.. I should inform everyone on here that I never had awful acne, I had moderately severe acne that I was sick of dealing with. I finally decided to go on accutain and I will admit I was really scared. Thr first two months were rough not going to lie; after those two months my face started looking better and better. Now I have NO acne on my face just a couple on my back... it really is AMAZING. Don't let anyone stop you from taking this medication... it works and no one should suffer with acne!!! I have one more month so lets hope I get 100% clear!! I'm at about 88%

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
