Apologies off topic .. Pain meds (or any legal addictive med) are a double edged sword and many fall in to the trap and become addicts. Some with intent but many not.

Being an ex-heroin addict I'm a bit suspect as the article states that he injected into his fingertips and chest. Well I've never seen evidence of this injection route in my 15 odd years of addiction - god knows how you get a vein in your fingertips and I suppose he tied off for that chest shot with the aid of a corsette.

I work in LA in an attorneys office; when I told everyone MJ died, my boss was completely unsurprised and said "well, yes, he has been addicted to heroin for years." I was shocked, but he is very well connected here and LA, in social circles, is a small town. Many of the drugs--methadone, OxyContin, and demerol--either are synthetic versions of heroin or metabolize into heroin-like components.
I have no affiliation with Stacy Brown or the Jacksons. I liked MJ's music, but found him to be vastly odd (though that is his right), but I cannot completely dismiss this information. If nothing else, it is very telling that even for other drugs, MJ needed to take them intrvenously-- that is VERY telling in and of itself.
