Methadone

It's a shame it took this many deaths to wake up Kentucky, to wake up Madison County. But with education, we can actually do some prevention now. This report shows me that we are on our way to helping other people. In more than 40 percent of Kentucky's 484 overdose cases in 2006, methadone was detected. via Richmond Register

i live in richmond ky.. and what i think is a shame is the fact that i live in constant agonizing pain every second of my life, and because of these assholes that sell medication, im told no i cant be rx'd anything. so i lay here with my daughter evry damn day, crying from pain. why should my daughter have to go through this? i had her because i was told within a yr i would be unable to have any. im only 23.. so thats a strike too. i just wish that ppl would think of others that are truly in so much pain everyday, that they sometimes wish a train would hit them just to feel comfort... think abbout that when you are after your "buzz"

I would also like to know who you are pointing fingers at when youi say "after a buzz" because I'm an ex-junkie and I'm not even looking for a buzz...I don't get a "buzz"..my cold sweats, and feeling like theres someone taking razor blades to my skin and knives to my stomach just go away.

I think methadone is a great drug. I didnt have a problem getting it i wong if you are the one that you should be pointing at instead of others.

Did you ever think it could be a good thing you dont have a script for methadone? maybe you are being spared the agony in the end, perhaps your child will need you longer than you would make it should you take this medication.
I have learned from trial that the methadone will take its toll on your system and life as we live it. If one takes methadone long enough one of two thing will take place, either you will die from its affects or you will eventualy want to break free from the medication. It is at this time you will find that this stuff has a grip on you like you could never imagine! I thought about the pain I had in the begining and wished that was all I had to deal with, ohh if I could just reverse time. Many take this medication to prevent relapse from streat drugs that made them do things they are not proud of. They are not bad people but just people with different roads traveled than others. I say again perhaps this is not the road you want to travel as it can never end plesant.(think about what you wish for as it could come true)

Methadone for dope addicts is a waste. Let them die in pain screaming. That way, others can see their agony. Then they can at least be a benifit to the community by warning kids away from dope, and less of a burden on the tax payers buy being gone.

If these people used Methadone like it was supposed to be used, they would be off it in about 1 month. It's the losers that just keep going back that burns my ass. You got hooked, they gave you Methadone to get off, not to use from now on.

I say give the junkies 1 month of Methadone then screw em. We don't have to provide dope for them, if they can't stay off let them die. And if they become criminals to get more dope, well give them the same thing the Paint Lick doper got breaking in to steal. Buckshot square in the middle of their chest.

We need to be rid of the dopers. By whatever means necessary. If they quit, great, if not then whatever happens to them happens. Because nobody with any sense cares.

They just go from one addiction to another with methadone. If you are going to quit the drugs, quit the drugs!!

How can ya'll be so judgemental? Talking about human life like ya'll are is so sad to read. Speaks volumes of the sort of persons ya'll are though, part of what is wrong with society today is the lack of compassion people have for one another.
If it were your mother, father, grandparents, children, etc...would you still feel the same? Best try walking a few blocks in some of these addicts' shoes before kicking them to the curb. They are REAL people, just like you and I and deserve all the help they reach out for. Sad to read these types of posts, really sad.

My kid was a good kid till he turned 17 then the dope got him. We tried for two years to get him off. Finally we loaded him up in the car and drove him to the Florida state line, gave him 20 dollars and told him he was an adult. Left him there and came home. It's been 10 years now, and the other children are still here and drug free. It's bad to turn one out, but he did it to himself. His example has made the other kids better people. And before you ask, we have heard from him, but we block the numbers as soon as we identify them. I told him were sorry but he was not going to drag the rest down with him.

All to often God provides us with something that has the potential to improve lives,but it is used or rather abused. Methadone is a great pain reliever if used properly.
