I had the same problem. Teva is horrible. I take the one by apotex. it works fine. I took the teva brand for 2 weeks before it dawned on me why I was not sleeping. I shop at riteaid too.

Gee, never saw so many complainers and hypochrondriacs in one place. I have been on Ambien for over 10 years, starting after enduring radiation treatments for cancer. As soon as the generics came out on the market, been on them, get them from CVS and/or Wal-Mart. I have never seen any difference in them, compared to the real ones. I did try 10 days of Ambien CR, and didn't like the difference and it wasn't effective. From reading a lot of the accounts here, gee, you need to get a life and stop trying to be a pill junky.

Ambien is not a narcotic. It was put out on the market and doctors were pushing it as a non-addicting drug. You all know now what I do. It is!
Now they are slowly deluting it to ween everyone off it. I was crushing it and snorting it to the tune of 6 to 13 10mg's/day. I couldn;t live with out it. I went thru detox and rehab, It has a uforic buzz to it. Run-dont walk away from it.

Forget chewing the pill or letting it dissolve under your tongue. Want effects fast?? Take pill with a few shots of hard liquor or try crushing and snorting. Hell, might as well inject the stuff. What in the hell happened to a glass of warm milk to get sleepy. No offense to anyone here...I'm a faithful teva zolpidem user of 2 years and I hate the fact that I am dependent on the stuff! I'd be screwed if I went outta town overnight and forgot my pills.
