Nani, I feel for you,the wait is horrible.Now if you want my honest opinion on the matter one of two things have transpired.#1 she failed to pass the gates for MI and was denied so they are waiting for IS claim to be reviewed.#2 she passed the gates late into this and will recieve one check,meaning your attorney accepted the point without your knowledge and approval,many have done just such a thing.
That being said your attorney is busy doing recaps and sending checks,if you are lucky enough to have passed the gates a check would be forthcoming.If not you are going to have to wait and hope that you pass the gates for IS.
I know some of what I said may upset you but I tell it like I see it however harsh or misfortunate it is,sorry thats the way I am.
I do hope she passed the gates and check comes soon for you with another one for IS.I'll keep you in my prayers for such.Keep the faith that it will come out all right soon.

Dick, Sorry about the late responses, I was set up! But after all the responses, I am going to get another "Lawyer" to fight her. Some one said that I am not dead yet! They are right.... The little bit I get from merck, I will just give to some more greedy lawyers my money. I will fight till I am dead. I will have to go out of town to find a lawyer that will stick up for me. Any body in Ohio have a good lawyer? My lawyers are out of PA handling my case, I have KS. This seems to be my problem. I am open for suggestions. Thanks Everyone.......

McKinney - Sorry that you were denied and was kept in the dark. This is very frustrating for us who have already suffered loss. I can't believe the law dogs like this. We don't want anyone's info....just our own. What?? we're not entitled to that?

Dick In Ohio - Thanks for the Straight Talk. That's how I like it and how I give it too! I think the world would be much better off if all would just tell it like it is. No BS!! Would they send 2 different checks....1 for MI and 1 for IS? Or....would they send it all at one time? I have read over the settlement agreement time and time again and can't find out that information. I am trying to be patient, but I must say, that is not one of my strong attributes!! I can deal with anything, as long as I know what I'm dealing with. Knowledge is power!! The law dogs like to keep the power to themselves. Have a good night and hope you are feeling well. Has anyone heard anything about the 15% held for the insurance companies? How do you tell if you are in a state that does not honor the insurance payback claim?

Medicare has some new rules effective 1-1-10 about settling cases where the recipient is a Medicare beneficiary. There has been a lot of discussion about handling the mass tort settlements and what the triggering date of settlement will be.
The people on this thread are in the trenches: what have you been told ? I am curious.

Google "Subrogation (and your state)" and see what the law is where you live.

Well, I'm thanking and praising God! I received my final settlement check today from SW via Fedex. Either the person I spoke with on Monday was just giving me the runaround or was plain tired of people calling. At any rate, I'm so happy it's finally over. For all of you waiting to be paid, hang in there and prayerfully you will receive your settlement checks soon as well. IS victims, I know the waiting isn't easy, but believe me, it will happen for you too.

If SW is going alphabetically, what letter were you? I have been waiting forever, never got interim check and now can't get final one either! Congrats to you and all who have gotten them!

.My mother always said practice what you preach .I just sent Judge Fallon a letter about the irregularities in dispensing funds from different lawyers. I hope more will follow suit. It was not about points or gates, just the different ways some of the victims are being treated and uninformed.
