Are these people this stupid or do they just think we're that dumb??? Anyway, we'll see if she does any good. In the meantime, I spoke to another atty at SW (both the attys I've dealt w/ before are out today) just minutes ago and he has no idea why there would be a delay after the recap has been signed and received. He'll talk to accounting and get back to me. We'll see... Why don't you call back the lady that said they are having a hard time figuring the check becauser of the change in the point value and explain how to calculate it. First tell them not to worry about the original point value. Just calculate the new point value of 1865.01 times the point award to arrive at a gross value Subtract their 32% fee and the 1% MDL expense and their individual fees to arrive at a net total. Than just subtract the first check from the above total and that is it. No muss no fuss!

I think my attorney is okay, but they keep telling me the 1% fee is coming out after they receive the money and that there is something pending about that?????ANYBODY??? There is NOTHING pending about the 1%. Some attys were using that as a stall tactic. The 1% comes out of the money before it even goes to your attorney. I only had success bugging attorneys at my law firm. I would exhaust that before trying the B/G or Fallon route.

My point of telling everyone that was that this was from the Vioxx Claimant Liaison!! Doesn't seem like much of an advocate for us!!

Hi to all - I got my recap sheet. FINALLY today at 5:30PM. reviewed it will send back fed Ex Sat AM - Yippee -that is over. next step - My check. Then after that my lien money from Garretson !
I see what they were saying - SW charged their client the 32% legal after deducting the legal expenses ($1800). The 8% MDL Fees were calculated on the gross amount but were in the 32% so SW got a little less than 24 %. Only a mathematician would get that (where is BHa4360246 San Antonio)?. Anyway I will get the correct amount after the 32%, 1% and Lien 15% fees. Thank god for my ability to understand and accept this crazy settlement.

Seeger Weiss said I would get my check next week. Even though I settled with insurance company last year and even though insurance company sent S/W a letter stating all had been settled (for a very small amount) Seeger Weiss is still looking for liens on me even though there are none. They are not working for us but for themselves and Merck. They are terrible about returning calls and give misinformation all the time. I am so sorry I am stuck with them on ei also. I am so happy for all of you who have settled. I just wish more people could have gotten what we originally signed up for. All those surprises! You are all terrific.

I agree, they have handled things poorly, it does make one feel as though they aren't on our side. I think there are things that could have been done better. It would have been nice to have had some monthly updates on their website, instead of having to track down answers from other sources. I would have been happy with the courtesy of returning my calls. I had to get other attorneys involved just to get an answer. It has been a painfull experience. Ironic, when you think about it, Merck actually went through with things, and it's the law firm/s now that are causing all this pain. I thought this would have been handled with more respect towards the victims. It has been so shameful, & disapointing. I am thrilled for those that have gotten thru this ordeal, and have won this battle, best of luck to all.

State Medicaid $23,163.42 Pending, Private Lien Resolution Program Withholding $17,522.56 Pending.$40,685.98 Total Pending???? I live in Ohio, This is so unfair, They get more than me, I had the MI......They should pay the Lawyer fees........ You should go to the Judge Fallons web page where they discuss how they are handling this, or perhaps the lein resolution firm. They actally show or decribe how it works.

I feel that the insur co. had 6 yrs to file a lien against me - if they dare to do so now I will fight it. To Andy - do not worry the state and fedl liens are all capped at pennies on the dollar. I know medicare for instance is getting only like $325 to $400 per claim.-- it is the private insur liens that are being settled at less than 50% if you joined up early enough. After July they are settleing for higher amounts with Garretrson co.

So glad more people has received positive news. Finally getting almost to the end for all, we waited so long. Maybe our stess levels will go down now, although we didn't get near enough for the injury we suffered, something was better than nothing. I am glad for all who have heard.

I think its terrible that the first 40% was greater than the 60% that I am to get. It is so unfair, They were not "Life Flighted" like me. The hospital that had me Life flighted called the hospital they took me to , To see if I had "made it". I suffer daily like many other people that took this poison. Thank You Concerned for your reply. God Bless Us All !

All the liens should be settled within 30- 60 days or the money gets refunded to you. If garretson has your money, they send it to your lawyer.

Andy, greetings fellow Buckeye. The Insurance liens were a scam.Who do you think made all that interest for the 2 months or better that your money was sitting idle? Certainly wasn't you was it? B&G,Garretson,Merck, our attorneys had every angle figured to suck the life out of all of us and get every penny of profit.Let's hope they all rot in hell. Best wishes for you and your family.
