Merck to fund Vioxx settlement in August

Jman- you are lucky they did not throw you out of the office. At least you got your money. To think I feel guilty calling every few days?

Judge Fallon's office called me back today and they do not get involved in how long it takes to get the money from our lawyers.
I was politely told that they do not 'judge' how long it would take a law firm to send out 1100 recaps letters and then review them and prepare the checks and mail them out.
So I have to wait!!!!!!! So what else is new?

Find it kind'a weird that the check I received, via FedEx Express today was dated 10/22

it's not weird wwl,thats in case you complain to anyone they can say they sent the check on 10/22.Like I have always said they know every angle.My recap was dated several weeks before I recieved it as well,bet the check comes the same way.

dick your right they lied up until the end every promise they gave always had a but to it for away out i just got feed up and showed up and stayed they did get very pissed off but it was my money and now it really is in my account if you dont get your check the first of the week im willing to go back and camp out and help you take care hope you have it soon

It came today... without fanfare ... plain old mail in the mailbox... I keep looking at the check, it's hard to believe that it is finally over. I put the final papers in the file folder that is now 4 inches thick to the back of the cabinet.. kept copies of everything... I even have a bottle of 90 50mg vioxx pills... Any suggestions as to what i should do with them...? Good for you Jman... Got a little concerned when we did not hear from you - worried you went postal... I will be 10/10 on the side pulling for you all.. Let us know when all your ships come in...

Congrats JMan. Way to stick your thumb in their eye! I dont know why these "people" have to act the way they do. I would think they would want to get the money to us and shut the cases down.(And be done with us.) I cant imagine the interest they make is worth having all of us PO'ed at them and calling all the time.(Of course, THEY rarely have to talk to us, they have some ubderpaid flunky handle that.)

They told you it would be 30 days for Lien to be released? From what date does the 30 days start? My attorneys say they don't know anything about the lien. I am sure they don't!!!!!! LOL

Wish I Knew :Yes I passed the gates,have points,and I am a MI. So I do know more than you but I had to ask for these or I would have never known. I called to get a breakdown of the points,and had points taken for High Cholesterol that I wasn't aware of.So yes I am a little more informed than you. But I had to pull teeth to get the information.I hope you get yours soon. You might want to start to call your lawyer and ask for these things. Good luck . Congrats to All.

they got our first check in feb.but I got money in March.
now just waiting on check, I hope to see it next week but hey said could take 30 days, I hope not, we are planning to go see family in Tn.

Grys Sorry yes I did back in December after being told for 6 weeks "next week" two words instead of one.It came the the 2nd week in Dec. So I am waiting on a final check.
