Now The Dalmore has a real Silver Stag on the bottle and a new label design. Was it an either/or proposition? In the board rooms of Whtye & Mackay did the accountants say,“Well we could make the product of a higher quality or we could put a Silver Stag on the bottle.”
It’s frustrating because I do like many of the Dalmore core range but I’m puzzled by its marketing.
Is this the same company that chastises whisky ludites with their left hand for putting ice in Scotch Whisky, that then with the right, waters down their flag-ship dram, The Dalmore 12, to 40% ABV? I think it’s worth asking why?
