I've found that tea makes my acid reflux worse. Has anyone else noticed if tea does that to them?

Yes! Acidic drinks move me from "no-problem" to "problem". I"m trying to figure out how to change the pH of my kombucha tea so I can keep drinking it. That's how I happened to see your post.

1 I would imagine your evil debt collection practices would be the originating source for your acid reflux. Maybe try treating people better and breaking the law a little less and maybe it will get better. |

I own a tea room and I have to say that I drink organic Rooibos tea with no ill effects at all. It is known to help digestive problems. It is soothing and has many good properties to it.
Try some! You can find it almost anywhere tea is sold. It might be listed also as red tea. Make sure it is organic and does not have any additives like lemon that could not help acid relux. Also, drinking water can be acidic. |

Apple Cider Vinegar cured me after 30 years and every med out there!!! One teaspoon... A little honey (for taste) and about an ounce of water... Twice a day!! Remarkable!!

We have a tea shop and drink all kinds of varieties all day long with little or no problems. In talking with customers who do, we commonly find that they are oversteeping their teas which release more of the tanic acid in the leaf. This is especially common in the black teas and even more so in bagged teas as they normally contain what is referred to as dust or fannings. Dust and fannings expose more of the leaf edge that will in turn release more tanic acid.
Rooibos, as mentioned above, along with other tisane/herbal varieties are also an option, especially if the culpriot for you is the caffiene. More information is available through www.merkabaonline.com |

I tried using the apple cider vinegar, and had a very painful bout of reflux. My doctor said the vinegar thing works for low stomach acid, but not for an esophagus damaged by reflux, as mine was. If you know you have erosion in your esophagus, please don't use vinegar. It's pure acetic acid.

Try shifting to green tea from black tea. It has plenty of health benefits and is actually good for the stomach apart from having many other health benefits. You could also try chamomile or white tea.
