So, I am new to the world of single malt scotch, and I have jumped in whole hog!
My question is this: Why are the independent bottlers' offering of a brand so much less expensive than the regular version?
FOr example, Macallan 25 year might run, say $700 a bottle, but a 25 year old Macallan bottled by Signatory Vintage is about $200.
Would someone explain this to a newbie :)
