Wow, I have a map of the bourbon trail on my computer. Something I've wanted to do for awhile. Need to add Frankfort to my retired "to do" list.

Use Woodford Reserve for the best mint juleps on Saturday. And wear your hats, ladies.

If you like Woodford Reserve....please try Old Forester. Half of what goes into the Woodford bottle is.....Old Forester.
Woodford and Old Forester are owned by the same company. Old Forester is very affordible compared to Woodford. Forester has two different proofs...86 and 100 proof(my favorite).
The best tour in Kentucky is Four Roses. They have two facilities to tour. The main distillery is in Lawrenceburg...and the warehouse facility is just north of Bardstown in a little village called Cox's Creek. They treat you like family at Four Roses. If you are lucky...Al Young will be your tour guide. He is very knowledgible and interesting.
Second best tour....Buffalo Trace. Call ahead and ask to be set up with a Hard Hat Tour. It's the behind the scene tour and well worth the effort to set it up ahead of time. All of their tour guides are super cool retired Gentleman.
