I'd guess your bottles are worth $3 each to someone who likes scotch. I think it blows.

I have a sealed 750ml.12 yr. old bottle of Haig & Haig Pinch Whiskey that is in the original box, sealed from 4/1/89 with Tax stamp in perfect conditionmy Dads. Is it worth more as a sentimental bottle to toast to dear old dad for the holidays,(is the liquor still good?) & I'm just curious if these bottles full are even worth anything? Thanks so much..... you can email me at: [email protected] because I'm new to this and I don't know what the heck I'm doing!!! Help!

Kathy, do you still have this?
I'm trying to replace a bottle, so it needs to fit in a wooden box with shot glass and two snifters.
Can you tell me about yours or (better yet) send a photo?
Thanks!

I have a bottle (jug) of Red Hackle Scotch Whisky
which is stamped 22 years old and bottled in 1972
which would make it 60 years old. Any idea what it
is worth?
Thanks,
Joe

A lot of you have some special drops. Congratulations!
The first step to determining value of old Blended Scocth whiskies like the ones mentioned here is to take note of the "fill level". Is it full, ie to about 1 inch or 3cm from the cork? Is the level down to the neck? down to the body?
Next, note the condition of the labels. Tattered? bent corner? Mint? Does it have a box? Condition?
Then take a picture of the bottle, whole bottle, box (if applicable), labels, front and back.
After that check the internet for precedent on your bottles' performance at auction or more info. A simple google search will do.
Next, take a look at eBay or www.whiskyauction.com and see if your bottle appears. In this case, search under vatt & blend on left banner.
Checking www.thewhiskyexchange.com under blended whisky is also a good guage of the "value" of the item, but always remember that thsi site is a business so the asking price might exceed the value.
In all of this, remember that the bottle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. This seems obvious, but it is worth noting that old Canadian whiskies, for example, are far less "valuable" tham their Scottish counterparts.
I hope this helps.
Any other questions, please don't hesitate to email me via my Dr. Whisky website.
Cheers!

Value is tough to call. There is no book that sets value. Realisticly, it's not worth all that much. Unrealisticly, it could be worth a few hundred dollars.
If you like whiskey...drink it. If you don't, then it might take you some effort to find it a home.
If the bottle is in pristine condition the work will be much easier. If not, just give it to a friend that likes whiskey.
Good luck.

WHITELEY'S WHISKY, EDRADOUR DISTILLERY, SCOTLAND.
Does anyone have any idea what it is worth, or where I could go to find out.
