I wish that the Sun Sentinel would cut out the "post comments". Too much bigotry & hate. Before I even read the comments on a story I already know the ignorance forthcoming. Hatian this, black that. I say: no more forum for hate! Let the cowards that hide behind curtain of the internet stand on the corner with their comments on a sign.

I support the buisnesses that I can. Carribean Markets, Resteraunts, and as well I work in their neighborhoods in healthcare. These people unlike most of the rich, never complain when paying a co-pay for healthcare, leave better tips, and appreciate the local service industry. I must say it is completely different then those rednecks in Davie, Cooper City, and SW Ranches. Money, God, and slave labor. They complain about there cost for lawn care, pest control, and any other service industry. Oh and by the way I am not black, an immagrant, or christian. I am an American. Quit the biggotry that you are taught and open your eyes to the terro you are fed from those in power, not just republicans, but anyone who has held office for more then two terms, is a power monger and preaches fear. Starbucks problem is bad management from the Top. They expanded to quickly and they are too expensive. You can't tell me that they could not have put some cheaper selections on their menus, had they done that two years ago perhaps they would not be in the mess they are now. I feel sorry for the folks in Lauderdale Lakes, It's just starting to turn around out there and this is to bad. Perhaps a local operation could take over the space and provide residents with a menu working people can afford. Corporate greed rears its ugly head once again.

The money is never in the product Ex: Dunkin Donut, KFC, Subwat, etc.

The money is in the sale of the franchise! Also, many are used to launder billions in drug money!

Awwww... the multi-chained, mega-empire is losing a few stores. Here's hoping Wal-Mart, CVS, and Home Depot are the next to go.

The article is implying that there is some sinister reason for this Starbucks closing. There is and it is not racism. It's about magic Johnson looking to make a buck. So he opened a Starbucks in a black area. For whatever reasons it was not making money and it closed.Go ask Magic why he let the business fail.

I have a question, if this is a Franchise, owned by Majic Johnson, how can the corporate office close it? They dont own it, it is his, how can they do this? All a franchisee does is buy product from the corporation, so Majic must have seen that it doesnt pay to put an upscale coffeeshop in the hood, he gave it all those years to be profitable, and in trueness, and as usual, you cant give dark folks anything nice, they dont appreciate it...majic,i have a better idea, open up a shop that sells products that these baby making machines can use, something like a "WIC" check store, or a store that sells Hair Extensions, or a tire "Rim" company, that is a more appropriate thing to put in that area, or a gun store, given the crime in that area...anyway, majic learned his lesson and is saying "Bye Bye" to Lauderdale Lakes/Lauderdhill, o i forgot, maybe majic can open up a store and sell "Cricket" supplies since that overpriced park sucked all the taxpayer dollars up..sorry to be the bearer of all this reality and bad news, but, as usual, the truth must be told, and i am just the person to give it to you.

Sure, poorer people are happy and don't complain when it comes to healthcare co-pays, will you please be real, and, sure, poor people and blacks leave better tips, you really must be smoking good stuff as you type this, go ask any server, if they fight to be the lucky one to wait on a group of blacks...i once knew a girl who actually QUIT the restaurant she worked at because every sunday she was forced to wait on a group of blacks who came there after church, the manager never made them take turns waiting on this group and told her not to complain when they took up 4 of her tables for a couple hours (a group of 12) and after running her back and forth countless times, they gave her a generous $ 5.00 tip for the whole group..I owned taxicabs for years and simply put, blacks DONT tip, so dont give me that nonsense (even blacks with money like nfl players and baseball players) they simply dont tip, so save those comments for someone who doesnt know better. God, poor people and blacks tip, i still cant get over that comment, if thats what you truly think, you never worked in the "Biz". I'd rather have those rednecks than the group your talking about, the group your talking about are the ones that cut my throat...yep, cut my throat, the rednecks may have gotten drunk and passed out in the cab, but never robbed me, never cut me. Ya know what..there is no point in commenting on your stupid remarks any further because they were written by someone with no experience in the fields he (or she) was speaking of..your comments only indicate the reality and that is, you dont know what the F*** your talking about. And That's the ABSOLUTE truth.

Hey John- you still stuck in the hospital with the dirty bedpan? Did you get a decent nursing service yet?

Yes, and where have you been? They gave me the suite on the third floor. You know, the one with the Maplewood flooring, and they installed a 42 inch Sony HD TV three weeks ago.

It's really not that bad! Last month they let me set up my own office with a huge credenza, and I am completely networked with the hospital system and the Internet.

You can get me at jg@Westsideregional.com

Hey Johnny! The next time you come to visit bring me some lobster tail and filet mignon, "Surf N Turf".

Currently, they have billed Medicare $635,000. I love it! They let me have some Chicks too!

On weekends, they allocate us to joints of medical marijuana! Isn't America great!
