If you want a great all-you-can-eat fish fry during Lent, go the Gallagher-Hansen VFW Post 295 in South St Paul. It's wonderful and EVERYTHING is all-you-can-eat, not just the fish. The cost is about $10. They have eat-in or take-out. They also have a lunch-time feed.
I ate their once... got food poisoning.

All you can eat dinners. And we wonder why we're so fat. The first 2000 calorie plate should be enough. Give up red meat on Fridays but gorge ourselves on fish. Okay.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH BERT. SO. ST. PAUL VFW TOPS THEM ALL AND I'VE EATEN AT MANY OF THEM OVER THE YEARS. THEIR LONG LINES TELL THE STORY. I'VE BEEN GOING THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
P.S. THEY SERVE LUNCH AND DINNER.
I went there once and got sick. Never again.

I went for lunch last year and was not impressed at all...mushy breading and fish. Guess
it depends on who's volunteering that day...

The South St. Paul VFW is great ... if you like incredibly long lines and the largest collection of obese slobs you'll ever see in one place. Honestly, it's a wonder the earth doesn't slip out of its orbit. Don't know if the smoking ban extends to VFWs, but the last time I was there you needed an oxygen to breathe. Yep, the food is decent, but blech!

A LITTLE SUSPICIOUS!!!!

Molly's Cools only has one MN/WI location - Lakeville- and has only been open a couple of months! "most popular"???? DOUBTFUL! I live nearby and the food is good, but not a "most popular fish fry place"
The management is terrible, I wrote an very polite email to complain about really bad service and the manager NEVER responded.

I'd like to see what statistics were used to determine this a "most popular" place. Now I wonder about the other places chosen.

The summit battered fish at Tiff's in Highland Park is excellent! Also, the fries are handcut on the premises and are amazing. A great, laidback neighborhood atmosphere.

Yes Groveland Tap is a great place to get a Juicy Lucy without cheese.
