I love beer. When I say I love beer, I mean I really love beer. Not just one or two, no, a six-pac is where I start to have fun.

I remember in the 80's when all we beer drinkers had was stuff like Miller, Bud, Michelob. If you had a Heineken in your hand you thought you were really living it up. Then it all changed in the early 90's. Oh yes!! Microbrews!! Gods nectar my friends.
You got your stouts, your hadcrafted pilsners, your ambers, and the love of my life, The IPA!! Oh how I love to drink IPA's. My current favorite is Racer 5 by the Bear Republic Brewing Company. Oh lordy what a brew they make.

Does anybody else out there love beer?
Let's swap beer stories and share some of our favorite pints.

I love beer too! If you happen to live in or visit Wisconsin, try Mountain Creek, which is a hand crafted beer brewed in Monroe, WI.

I just read some info on Ravinder Minhas who started Mountain Creek. He's 26, wow. Which beer of theirs is your favorite? Does it come in bottles or just cans? I only see pics of it in cans. Some of the best beers I have drank have come in cans. I have a friends from Wisconsin, I'm going to ask them about this beer.

Picture if you will, a tall pilsner glass, and you are slowly pouring an ice cold beer into it. As the golden brew slowly gets to the top of the glass, the frothy head rises mightily. But wait, ever so gently a portion of the creamy head curls over the rim of the glass and slowly cascades down the side of your freshly poured frosty beer. You know what time it is. Who's thirsty?

Ok everybody, it's Friday. So go out and pick up a sixer of your favorite suds. Then pop open a bottle and sit back and let the fun begin. Tonights beer is going to be some Red Hook ESB. A fine beer in it's own right. The perfect Friday evening beer.

Cheers,
Pintman

I had a great Friday evening. I enjoyed an ice cold 6-pac of ESB with a double pepperoni pizza. So hoppy, so refreshing.

Oh lord, I drank too much last night. I was well into my 10th Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA when I started to feel sick. Luckly I was outside by the pool. I stood up, and with a massive and mighty roar, I projectile vomited into the swimming pool. Before I could catch my breath I spewed again, but this time it flew out of my nose. My wife came running outside and said "what the hell is wrong with you?" I muttered something about being a bad husband and drinking too much. Then I passed out and slept in the backyard all night.

Tonight's beer is Red Tail Ale. It's the perfect Thursday beer. So crisp and refreshing.

A good cigar and a good beer. Nothing better on a Friday night. I live in PA where beer is king, we have Straub and Yuengling. Two of the first breweries in the United States. Remember for every one mile of road there is two mile of ditches.

I'm headed to the Sierra Saturday morning around 6:00am in my 87 Jeep to meet up with my friends. I should pull into camp about 9:00am. I have about an hour off road to reach camp, so a few beers will be consumed while I drive through the woods. I'm not sure yet what beer I will bring. I'm thinking some Red Hook ESB or perhaps some Racer5.
Yes, you heard right, I will be drinking and driving by 8:00am.

Hope the Red Tail works out better for you.:)

Who hasn't launched in the back yard? Come on, admit it people.

Launching outdoors is the best, it's so cathartic. You can just let your oral eruption spew and not worry about soiling the house.

The Red Tail drinking went much better thank you very much.

I've got a couple Racer5 22 ouncers iced-up and waiting for me tonight. If you like IPA's then a Racer5 is your best bet. We're talkin' one hoppy brew my friends. I would do a commercial for them if they asked.
Let's see, perhaps something like this.

When he goes to museums he usually knocks something over.

When at parties the women say he reeks of stale beer.

He's the most uninteresting man in the world.

"I always drink beer, and when I don't.....I'm thinking about Racer5."

I'm going to try a Bear Republic Hop Rod tonight. I watched some reviews on YouTube and it was a hit. It's highly hopped with 18% rye. I will update with my findings.

The grocery store by my house was out of Bear Republic Hop Rod. I had a Stone Brewery Ruination IPA instead, 22 ounces of hoppy goodness.

On Saturday my wife and I went to a wine festival in Healdsburg Ca. Guess what? Bear Republic Brewing Company is located in Healdsburg. So after we finished up at the wine fest we headed over to Bear Republic a few block away.

There I was walking down the quaint streets of Healdsburg in anticipation of my visit to the restaurant brewery. My eyes feasted on the store front just of the street down an ally way. I propped myself up at the bar and said "I'll have a pint of Racer 5 please." I watched as a young woman poured my pint directly from the massive silver tank set behind glass behind the bar. She set my pint down ever so gently in front of me. I picked it up and brought the honey colored brew to my nose and took a nice slow whiff. Mmmmm Hops!!
It was much more floral than the 22 ounce bombers I get at my local market. I tasted it, oh yes, it was delicious and so hoppy. I finished my pint and my wife came into the brewery and said how is you beer? I said "perfection." I ordered another pint and shared it with my wife. It was a great Saturday afternoon that I won't soon forget.

I enjoyed 4 frosty Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA's last night as I sat in my office and paid bills. The IPA's seem to take away the pain of paying bills. My wife came home and she asked if I had been drinking. I said "why don't you go make us some dinner with the electricity I just paid for."

It's Friday my friends. The perfect evening to sit back and hoist a few cold ones.

Tonights beer will be Red Hook ESB. I'm going to BBQ a couple steaks on the ol' Webber and drink some beer while doing it. How does that sound?
