I guess Obama passed the hypocrisy test. He's trying to steer the Sandy cleanup jobs to union workers only so it will be a big windfall for the labor unions at the expense of some tax payers.

I guess ABC news has passed on the Jesse Jackson Jr story. He and his wife have copped guilty pleas. Not much news coverage on that one.

Low taxes helped the Roman aristocracy increase their wealth, which equaled or exceeded the revenues of the central government. An emperor sometimes replenished his treasury by confiscating the estates of the "super-rich", but in the later period, the resistance of the wealthy to paying taxes was one of the factors contributing to the collapse of the Empire.[33]

Profiting From Human Misery

http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/profiting...

The United States, from 1970 to 2005, increased its prison population by about 700 percent, according to statistics gathered by the ACLU. The federal Bureau of Justice Statistics, the ACLU report notes, says that for-profit companies presently control about 18 percent of federal prisoners and 6.7 percent of all state prisoners. Private prisons account for nearly all of the new prisons built between 2000 and 2005. And nearly half of all immigrants detained by the federal government are shipped to for-profit prisons, according to Detention Watch Network.

This is classic DingleBrain topix material.

2005 was 8 years ago.

The private prisons save the taxpayers money. The streets are safer when the criminals are detained.

Hey DingleBrain --- why don't you post some "facts" - even if they are outdated on for profit schools?

I want to save tax dollars, not waste them.

Former Powell chief of staff ‘damn sure the Bush administration cooked the books’ on Iraq

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/02/19/former-...

The documentary featured never-before-seen memos by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, composed in November, 2001, clearly showing he and aides workshopping ideas for selling the invasion of Iraq.“US discovers Saddam connection to Sept. 11 attack or to anthrax attacks?” one possibility reads.“Dispute over WMD inspections? Start now thinking about inspection demands.”

Somebody wanted us to invade Iraq and take out Saddam.

If he had WMD, he may have sent it to Syria. They probably wanted to use WMD against Israel at some point. Since the Israelis have to mobilize almost an entire army if there is ever a major war, some of the Arabs were hoping to fire missiles carrying chemical weapons at the IDF mobilization areas to slow down or halt mobilization.

DingleBrain, find us some of your anti republican webpages telling us how Wolfowitz assured us that the Iraqi oil would pay for our invasion of Iraq.

BTW, you give us a nice video of McCain discussing Benghazi with your piece on Rumsfeld.

Golfing with Tiger Woods is hard to beat for a good time.

No, he won't even think about what it costs. It's nothing compared to all the other stuff he spends money on in Washington.

So close they split. Engineers agreed and the technicians didn't. I don't think it will have any affect since any engineer can do a tech's job. Their stock is up a buck today...

What does that tell you?

The media is helping Obama?

He has done nothing for the unemployment figures.

He wraps himself around liberal issues and constantly villifies the republicans.

Nobody cares anymore. Guns are flying off the shelves at gun stores. What does that tell you? They can't even keep semi-automatic assault rifles in stock DingleBrain.

Republicans With Influence On Immigration Debate Are Top Recipients Of Private Prison Contributions

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2013/02/21/1...

As the immigration reform debate heats up, private prison executives have made it clear that they are monitoring how it will affect their rates of incarceration. During a call with investors last week, Corrections Corporation of America CEO assured investors that there will “always be demand for beds”, reflecting concern that incarceration rates will actually go down. With many elements of reform left on the negotiating table, the Columbia Journalism Review is showing just how much money the two major private prison companies, Corrections Corporation of America and GEO Group, have invested in the outcome:
