In spite of having beaten up Rihanna, beaten up Frank Ocean over a parking spot, tweeted sexist things to a female comedian, broke his probation, lied about his community service, and compared himself to Jesus, Chris Brown wonders why people criticize him.

“At some point, Washington has to deal with its spending problem,” Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio said Wednesday.“I’ve watched them kick this can down the road for 22 years since I’ve been here. I’ve had enough of it. It’s time to act.”

22 years, huh? Indeed, Boehner was elected in 1990, and entered the House at the beginning of 1991. So what kind of can-kicking was going on during his first, say, decade in office? Here’s the picture:

Hmm — it sort of looks as if the US was sharply reducing its debt during the presidency of a guy named, I don’t know, Bill something or other.

The Big House That Wayne LaPierre Built
The NRA spent millions in the 1990s pushing the largest prison construction boom ever—and harsh sentencing to keep them full.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/02/w...

It sounded like a throwaway line. Toward the end of a four-hour Senate hearing on gun violence last week, Wayne LaPierre, the National Rifle Association’s executive vice president of over two decades, took a break from extolling the virtues of assault rifles and waded briefly into new territory: criminal justice reform. "We've supported prison building," LaPierre said. Then he hammered California for releasing tens of thousands of nonviolent offenders per a Supreme Court order—what he'd previously termed "the largest prison break in American history."

Is Obama the coward in chief? According to today's Wall Street Journal Obama backed down from helping the rebels in Syria. All of his military and intelligence staff approved several plans, and Obama backed down from even the minimal plan --- providing rebel groups with small arms.

Hillary Clinton’s polling ahead of GOP challengers in Texas and Kentucky. And then there’s the youth vote, minorities, women, and the white working class. She’s the one to beat in 2016, writes Lloyd Green, former opposition research counsel to the George H.W. Bush campaign.

Even Hillary Clinton approved actions that Obama would not take action on. He's proving that he was not ready to be president.

More is coming out about Benghazi now too. Apparently, Obama didn't even call the people he needed to talk to to make a decision on providing some kind of help during the attack. I am not surprised at all.

Dismal Indeed: Why Dick Cheney Disdains The ‘Second-Rate’ Obama Team

http://www.nationalmemo.com/dismal-indeed-why...

For sage advice on security policy and personnel, after all, there is no living person whose approval could be more meaningful than Cheney. It is hard to imagine a record as profoundly impressive as that of the Bush-Cheney administration, back when everyone knew that he was really in charge of everything important — especially the war on terrorism, the war in Iraq, and the war in Afghanistan.

True, Cheney’s intelligence apparatus failed to capture or kill Osama bin Laden after 9/11 – indeed, failed to prevent the 9/11 attacks, despite ample warnings that began with Bill Clinton’s farewell message in January, 2001 and culminated in a blaring President’s Daily Brief from the CIA in August 2001. True, Cheney’s defense command allowed bin Laden and Mullah Omar to escape following the invasion of Afghanistan, while American and NATO troops slogged through that deadly conflict without a plausible goal or even an exit strategy. And true, the national security cabinet run by Cheney misled the nation into war against Iraq, on false premises, without adequate preparation or clear objectives, at a cost of many thousands of lives and trillions of dollars. And true, too, the ultimate result was to embarrass the United States repeatedly while increasing the regional power of the mullahs in Iran

New Data Suggests Obamacare Is Actually Bending The Healthcare Cost Curve

http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2013/02...

A new Congressional Budget Office report out last week has the healthcare world scratching its head over the possibility that Obamacare might—in part—be responsible for what is being described as a significant slowdown in the growth of healthcare costs in America.

Huh go figure..........

Only DingleBrain would post this nonsense.

Did you read the article there DingleBrain?

It clearly states that the recession is mostly responsible for the reduction in the "rate of growth" of healthcare expenditures, and it goes on to say that changes made prior to Obamacare are responsible for much of the change. Finally, it adds that Obamacare may be responsible for some improvement (as an added conjecture).

In about 4-5 years from now when the medicare rolls start swelling with babyboomers, we'll see what happens.

JEEEEZ, what a dunce you are DingleBrain!!!!!

No, Marco Rubio, government did not cause the housing crisis

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/...

1. Private markets, rather than the GSEs, created the subprime mortgage boom.

2. The Community Reinvestment Act and the GSE’s affordability mission didn’t cause the crisis.

3. There’s a lot of research to back this up and little against it.

4. Conservatives arguments tend to blur the definition of subprime.

5. The government policy that likely made an impact were deregulatory actions.
