I am looking for a liquor called Wild Spirit. It is a raspberry/chocolate schnapps liquor. I've been told that it is no longer made. I'm just wondering if this is true or not. If so, where can I start looking to try and find an old bottle?
I have been looking for Wild Spirit as well for years - hoping someone was still making it. I actually have 2 of the empty bottles left. The last time I was able to buy it was probably in 1999. Does anyone know if the World Wide Distillers Co of Philadelphia PA is still in existance?

Apparently, World Wide Distillers Co is no longer in business. I've been checking. Of course it may have changed its name.

Go check Ebay. I just saw an auction for three bottles of Wild Spirit, one is 105 proof, the other two are 90 proof, each with a different label. Awesome!

OK, I know this is probably too late, but I have a bit of a story:

When I was about 19 years old, I worked summers at a Boy Scout camp with my two best friends. On our nights and weekends off, we'd go to the local bar and amongst other things, drink Wild Spirits. Two of us were wilderness trail guides and loved the fact that there were canoes on them along with the motto. I can't even tell you how many bottles a summer we would go through. It got to the point that the bar owner actually bought me a gift set of the stuff at the end of the summer as thanks for being such a good patron.(I still have the empty bottle and coffee mug in my home office.)

Well, to summarize, the last of the three of us friends is engaged to get married and his bachelor party is at the end of September. I wanted to get a bottle of Wild Spirits to surprise him (and the other friend, he and I are the co-best men) for the festivities as a final send off for him as well as to remember old times, etc.

If anyone has a bottle of this stuff unopened (no matter the proof) I would not only pay you for it, but it would also probably make the moment that much more special for me and my friends. Please feel free to email me with info: jlallier at worldofjohnboy.com (I took out the @ symbol so no spam comes...)

Most sincere appretiation,
John

I ordered a bottle a year ago from a store owner, I will check to see if i still can. They still make the stuff, the company that used to make it sold out and now the new company makes a 90 proof and around Christmas they do limited edition 105 proof...wild spirits is the best out there we served it at our wedding and reception...much better than champaign!!

I've been making a chocolate covered cherry recipe for years using wild spirit - its been harder and harder to find and I'm down to my last. Does anyone know if it is available under any other name, or any distributor other than the now defunct Worldwide distillers? Something that good should still be made - somewhere in the world....

I am down to my last 1/2 bottle and been saving it till I really have to use it
I wonder that there are so many of us who love this stuff so much maybe we can have it analized by a food lab and have it reproduced? wonder if that would work?

Can you please find out what the new company is? I heard they shut their doors years ago, and that no one picked it up.

I found it listed at http://sigmanbottle.com/Liquor_search.asp but don't know how current the page is.

I loved this too and wish the local liquor store still carried it.

A friend of mine got his hands on three bottles of the 90 proof W.S. I am getting one! He also found out more info on what happened to the original distiller in Philly, PA. Apparently, the company that makes Chambord (sp) bought the old company and discontinued it. I will post the info when I get home.
