I just brought this tea and so far I have had major side effects. I was told to drink a cup in the morning and in the afternoon but I decided to only take it once a day. The fact is, THIS IS A LAXATIVE. Its evident that once you drink thi tea, you're on the way to the bathroom in a couple of hours. Please be careful!!! This can casue severe abdominal pain and dehydration. Headaches are a given. If your using this to cleanse your body, good. But if you're using this as a way to lose weight the easy way, NOOO!!

I bought this tea (Three Ballerina's Tea) on amazon for very cheap because I was about to have surgery and was already constipated. This tea is very useful if you use it the right way. The directions on the box are NOT a healthy way to use it. I would say the tea is indicated if you are constipated and/or bloated from water retention and would only suggest using once or twice a weak diluted half strength as needed. Senna is addictive and if you use it daily you will become dependent. If you are fearful of getting terrible cramps (which will happen if you have a cup of normal tea) then dilute it even more than half strength. And if you find that you are needing more of this to have a bowel movement you need to ease yourself off of it. Eat a high fiber diet, drink lots of water, and but some Ducolax (stool softener) which is safe to use on a daily basis. I wouldn't recommend this tea to lose weight from fat. I think this is a great product but it's marketed wrong,

I just tried my first cup of this tea and although it was pleasant tasting, it felt like my throat was closing up after a couple swallows and I didn't even finish the whole cup. The laxative effect has already started but I don't dare take even one more sip, I must have an allergic reaction to malva verticellata .. my throat still feel like it's clenching shut. Kind of scared me, wont try again.

Yes you do get the cramps and then the sh.... that follows....and it doesn't wait for no body....but it only happens the first time you drink it. As days follow and you have a one cup per day the cramps and on all the side effects ease. I've been advised that it only reacts to excessive carbs in your system. In Australia the tea is bought in Asian Grocery stores. It comes in a Green box and it is labelled as Chinese Dieters Tea. It sure makes you loose weight.

Fab Australia is right- 100% right. The side effects subside and it's really only the first few times you drink it that it is that bad.

Hi,

My mother drinks this Nutri Slim Tea regular strength. She uses it as she gets constipated. She has been drinking it for many years. To me the way she goes to the toliet all the time does not seem natural. After drinking this tea for many years are there any known side effects?

Your replys would be appreciated as i'm worried about my mothers health.

I have been drinking the triple leaves brand nature sm tea for about 5 days i feel a lot more energetic. i only steep the tea for about 1 min then reuse the tea bag the next day and let it steep for three minutes so the cleansing has not been to intense. the longer you steep it the stronger the tea will be so it will give you really bad cramps and direaha. I really like the tea and the way it is making me feel i just dont recommend that you make it to strong.

Hi all, I have used this tea int he past and have experienced some cramps. I believe it is normal as your body is cleansing itself, especially if you eat a lot of meat which tends to stay in your intestine for a lot longer than you think.
Does anyone know if it is safe to use during the first trimester of the pregnancy? I am 8 weeks pregnant and because all I can eat without vomiting most days is bread and cheese and neither a huge in fibre I feel terribly constapated. Any info would be great! Thanks!!
