You're too late. It's what English girls drink to be polite. After that they drink anything they can get that will start a fire, and after that they drink REAL stuff. What they bring up again is stronger than 4X.

My favorite beer is Root Beer! Honestly, I can't stand the taste of beer. Liquor, HELL YEAH! But beer? NO WAY!! I've tried to drink it and I just can't. Every time I try it literally makes me sick.

Just the lager. Thanks for asking, though. :)

Well, Flower's Ale is my favorite, but I can't really get that. So I'll settle for Abbot's Ale or Boddington's.

You'll do for me. What a pity you can't get my favourite - Riggwelter, from The Black Sheep Brewery here in Yorkshire. It's a strong, dark ale at 5.7% A B V. It warms your bits.

VB is great! Everytime I go to visit my mates in Australia, I'll bring back a case. Boy, I sure throw out a lot of good clothes to make room in the suitcase!!!

You're the lucky one. I thrown out a lot of good clothes to make room for the beer gut.

Yes, well, come to that, any beer I get in a brewpub is likely to be better than anything I get at the grocery store.

There's a (sort of) local brewpub here, Gordon Biersch. They make a very nice Marzen. It's my favorite of theirs *when I'm at the brewpub*. They've started bottling their beers and the bottled marzen is, well, disgusting, honestly.

Their pilsner survives bottling very nicely, but, well, even it's better at the brewpub.

Mind you, there's a brewpub chain that just opened a store in town and I haven't tried it yet. Chains, though, don't inspire confidence in my mind.

You make a thoughtful point. Come to think of it, few beers {that's beer rather than lager] are remotely like their namesake after canning.
On the other hand, some of the obscure bottled beers would never survive the 'freeflow' serving in a bar, and should be kept as they are.
I'm happy to try anything new in a bottle if it's BEER. I like to try beers from the tap in a bar; but if the server doesn't know how to serve it- it can be turned from a good beer to a bad one.
ANYONE can serve from a bottle or a can.
Anyone who doesn't understand the 'head' on beer should keep an eye on my next post.

You know, I do have one quibble. The question asks about our favorite beer, then fails to list a single, actual beer in the options.
