Illegal immigrant students tell of lost opportunities

After Sunday services, they trooped upstairs for a talk. In the small crowd was an aspiring medical student from India, a Brazilian youth who dreams of studying physics at MIT, and a budding young businesswoman from the Dominican Republic.

I do differential calculus every 35 minutes in my head.

I think they have meds for that now.

Another La Raza talking points piece.

"aspiring medical student from India, a Brazilian youth who dreams of studying physics at MIT, and a budding young businesswoman from the Dominican Republic."

So what, is the author suggesting we should deport them if they don't become a doctor or physicist?

These illegals have abused U.S. enough. They are not owed anything. Living in the U.S. is not a right.

Why don't they do something patriotic and work to improve their own country?

Why have legal immigration?

Why should any student pay OUT OF STATE or INTERNATIONAL FEES?

Unlike every other gov program you've ever heard of EVERYONE WHO APPLIES QUALIFIES, UNTIL AND UNLESS THE GOV GOES THROUGH THE TROUBLE AND EXPENSE TO PROVE THEY DON'T.

We will have massive fraud just like 1986, one time only, never again amnesty.

We don't track visa over stayers, we do not track down and deport those who have applied for asylum but were denied -until they are caught doing something else illegal- just ask Chandra Levy's parents.

So does anyone believe the gov is going to follow up on millions of Dreamers, make sure they have completed some program of higher education, military service- or that community service option that doesn't get much mention (La Raza activist) and then if they haven't deport them ?

The U.S. legally admits over 1 million immigrants per year, more than all other countries combined.

Living in the U.S. is not a human right.

And it should be an iron-clad requirement that they must apply at one of our embassies IN THEIR NATIVE COUNTRY, with exceptions for embassy personnel and LEGAL residents.

"The 24-year-old student from the Dominican Republic said she was the only one in her family here illegally, that her mother did not include her on an immigration form. Raised by her grandmother, the young woman has been here since she was 3. She takes classes at a community college, when she can afford them."
----------

Too bad the reporter didn't dig deeper. In April 2001, 245(i) ended. This law allowed illegal aliens to register to legalize IF they were sponsored by an eligible family member or employer.
While it does not protect them from deportation, it does allow them to remain here to adjust status. This young woman would have been what, 15, when the law ended, and would have been here about 12 years. So, even if mother "forgot" to include her in the original petition, how is it that mother didn't bother to take care of this under 245(1)? And why doesn't she take the route that's available to her NOW, even if it involves returning to the DR for a few years (something she could have done without facing the 3- and 10-year bars IF she had left before age 18 1/2). Fact is, illegal aliens blame everyone but themselves or their family members for their problems and don't want to be bothered to follow the rules that everyone else has to. Would that we all got to do that. On second thought, it would result in chaos and anarchy.

Sadly, the American sheeple don't realize that there is a rabid marxist/socialist/communist professional left pushing the nightmare act for one reason and one reason only, to get millions of newly amnestied likely future demoratic voters, to try to keep the marxist progressives in power to further their leftist agenda to ruin America.

I Just Don't Get it. All the ILLEGALS KNOW THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW!!! They laugh in our face knowing that there is no repercussions for that. What needs to be done is to get rid of ALL pro Amnesty politicians PERIOD. There is already many Illegals on the voting polls, Why? look at La Raza, Catholic churches, Legal Immigrant Latino Politicians. There is your answer. If that makes "RACIST" and I'm sick and tired of that word being used to cover up law breakers. This is Racist? Go Back where you came from and do it the right way. GO ARIZONA!!, PROFILE ALL YOU CAN!!!

"Illegal immigrant students tell of lost opportunities" ========== I wonder if they are referring to lost opportunities they are causing for Americans who would like to go to college?

When a leech illegal is sitting in a college classroom, that illegal has caused an American student to lose the opportunity of having that seat and furthering his/her education. I have very little sympathy for those who have gamed our system all of their childhood, and then expect the subsidies to continue well into their adulthood, simply because their parents dragged them here...illegally. When do these losers make demands of their own parents, who have caused the conundrum they are in? When do their parents ever step up to the plate for them? It is not our responsibility to feed and educate the freaking world...we owe American children a future...these kids need to demand their country of origin fulfill their dreams. Just once, I'd like to hear one of these fools say thank you to the American people for all we have bestowed upon them.

No mention of the lost opportunities of Americans.

illegal aliens hired over citizens
.It seems a number of locals applied for those jobs, but were turned down

Jerry Warren use to serve our country as a marine. He said when he came home from war and tried to find a job it was hard because most of the jobs he went to had hired illegals instead.

Look at what happens to people who enter other countries ILLEGALLY. The punishment rages from deat to imprisonment. The good ole' USA gives this people everything and the ILLEGALS all know it. We help those who do not wish to play by the rules and hurt the people who are here legally or are from here. What has happened to this country?

FDR and his welfare program have ruined the work ethic of Americans...too many have become complacent...if it doesn't literally affect them, they look the other way. If a politician's family was negatively impacted by illegals, they would turn on the heat in a heartbeat.
