I'm sorry for the deaths of four young people.

Please understand I am not a bigot but an individual with an opinion and a question.

Is it wrong?

Is it wrong for me to question and not trust my donation would not be properly used?

Well, I see the bigots in Franklin County will have yet another comment section to a story removed as it concerns anything Hispanic.

In Taylor's previous articles about this topic, it was clear that a fund-raising would happen. The parents want to take the cremated remains "home" to the Dominican Republic and that means flying to Santo Domingo and back. Although all four were born here, lived here all their lives, the parents want to bury them in a foreign country. Assimilation is difficult it appears.

Topix requires a person using a PC to go online to access the comments posted. It is not the same as a LTE in the Public Opinion. Why do you think the families are reading Topix comments?

Why would friends, true friends, tell grieving parents anything about opinions posted on Topix? The Liberal politically correct crap of stifiling comments is wrong.

The Liberals in the local churches will cough up to fund the air travel for sending the remains to the Dominican Republic. Taking the remains to the DR appears to be a preferential thing by relatives who do not consider Chambersburg "home" for the four deceased.

And the self righteous teabaggers the local churches will continue to judge and refuse to help others that are different.

One note to the ruthless people being negative on this board. You are horrible. If you don't want to donate, don't. You were not going to give anyway. This holiday season, try being kind to someone for no reason and without expecting anything in return. The world may be a better place.

Didn't they have insurance on the car? It shuld pay for the 4 people that didn't own the car. Didn't they know what the speed limit was? I feel sorry for the parents that their kids were stupid.

Unbelievable. Franklin County is the most bigoted, racist place I have ever lived. It's an embarrassment.

While on one hand I have some difficulty understanding why they want to take people who were born and raised here, to the Dominican Republic for burial, I do understand that it is a family thing, and their choice.
The fund has been set up, and you can donate to it or not, as you choose.
IT'S NOT A TAX, RIGHT WING TEA-BAGGERS!
This is not a "TWO things you can't avoid, death and taxes" thing! So if you don't want to donate, just shut up and go on with your pathetic lives!

I don't see where the comments are racist. Just a few unanswered questions could clear up the negative remarks. Was the car insured? Why were they driving at a high rate of speed? A tricked out car? No money? Come on now I am insured and I do not drive on Wayne Ave @ a high rate of speed. No passing zone where they wrecked.

It is so sad for the loss of four young people, may they rest in peace and may the lord be with their loved ones to see them through this horrible time. What is even more sad is to see people be so heartless!!! that could have been your child, brother, sister , nephew, etc..., they were people just like everyone else, just a diffrent color, and how many of us are trully AMERICAN? we all came from somewhere else.In our lifes we all done stupid things, like speed down the road, work like hell all week and spend money foolishley, on cars, shoes, purses, cloths, and so on, so really why judge them, and why is salvation army set up, surely not to help just foreigners being here and down on their luck, for whites that HAVE the right to be here and did some stupid thing and we have to all donate to keep them going !!!!! So to all of you small minded people take a moment and look in the mirror and see what you see ????not much i am sure!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry folks. You want to award stupidity? Go ahead and do it. They are here, break the law and get killed, due to no one's fault but their own! Can't feel the sorrow!
You sir are a cold, hard harded person. Evidently you are not a Christian, because a true Christian would not have this kind of regards for another person's life. A true Christian is to use Jesus as an example as to how to live their lives. Just in case you don't know it he died for everyone, regardless of nationality.

These four young adults were born in Chambersburg and went to school here. They made a horrible mistake that cost them their lives. It is now the families and friends that have to deal with the loss of their loved ones. I have 2 sons and could not possibly imagine the pain and turmoil I would go through if something happened to one of them.

Have you ever lost a family member who you loved?? If you have, then you should know the pain that comes from it. Shame on you for talking bad about this tragedy.
