After the first revelation of Mayor Kilpatrick’s affair with his admin, his wife stood by him. Now that there are allegations of several other women will she still be there for him?

If she does stay, what is in it for her?

Just wagering a guess: she's stashing some cash so when she lowers the boom - bingo: jackpot!

Would be best if she and Chritine B. rolled on KK....would be an excellent end to all the BS that's been brandied about by KK. He's a thug.

Detroit is a perfect example of why the Civil Rights movement was a waste. The Riots and the movemnet led to Detroit becoming one of the first black led cities. And after 20 years of Coleman Young and a couple terms of Kwame, along with blacks holding just about every position of power, look at Detroit now.
Seems to me most blacks were better off in pre Riot Detroit than today. 40 years since the civil rights movement and blacks have actually gone backwards

Wow. That's quite a radical conclusion that you derived there...

Good point Rob...NOT!

Maybe the blacks should get leaders like Larry Craig (tap, tap), or the one NY guy with the prostitutes, or how about Bill Clinton and his oval office antics, or hmm...how about Thomas Jefferson and own slaves like he did, or Gary Condit and have the death of a female associate looming over your head.

See Bobby, point is, there really haven't been many good examples in the last 40 years. So you can look at the last 40 years while at the same time overlooking U.S. politics since the beginning of time. Starting with the murder, rape and strong-arming of the native americans, to the legalized discrimination that the government put in place up until the 1960's, to G.W. Bush's horrible 8-yr term...

It's just food for thought, now you do the dishes.

Scream at me!

Ahh, yes, another mayor of a well-run major city goes to jail. Let's see...Atlanta, Detroit, Newark...something is apparently amiss.

I am not from Detroit, so I don't know the whole story. I think that they are trying to make an example out of him. This is a personal affair. Many public officials do the same. His mistake is he is young and black. Therefore, he is hated automatically by the majority. Look at Obama. It is no surprise that most of his supporters are women and other minorities. White males are the ones that are "suspicious" of him. I think they hate to see anyone other than their kind in positions of power.

Not really. Do you know anything about the history of Detroit? That unfortunate city is still reeling from what Coleman Young did to it during his reign.

this isnt a black or white issue. This guy lied under oath and refused to leave office. He was out on bond and violated the order. Bottom line, this guy deserves prison.

Regardless, Detroit should not be viewed as a measurement of the success of the Civil Rights Movement.

If you don't know the whole story how can you comment? You sound like an angry person angry at everyone who isn't black.

The majority of people in power in Detroit happen to be black and you say they hate him because he is black.

After you read the story and figure out that this has nothing to do with race but with arrogance and crime maybe you can come back and comment.

Judges in this country think they are above the law. This mope obviously thinks he can do whatever he wants just to get his name in the newspaper.

So what are you saying? When Blacks became elected officals in Detroit, all the White people moved out. If they had sucked it up and stayed, then maybe Detroit would be like Chicago when Harold Washington was elected. You therefore can't blame civil rights or even Coleman Young. You have to blame the Whites who moved out unable to trust the system created to elect officals.

In some cities, they send their mayors who commit criminal acts to jail. In Chicago, we give them another term in office.

Detroit is not a disgrace to America, the people that run it are. Having grown up there I can tell you it's not half as bad as it seems. Chicago seems to be working hard at becoming a disgrace of its own. A different disgrace, but a disgrace nonetheless.

Young and black is not the issue here. The population of Detroit is overwhelmingly African American. It took 40 years, but perhaps people are just sick watching their city crumble around them.
