Congratulations Detroit

You get a do over.

Today is the first day of the rest of Detroit’s life.

Just remember the words of Albert Einstein.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and excepting different results each time.

Based on that:

1. No more Democrap control of the city.

2. Unions live within their means like all others. No more pensions and bleeding the city dry.

3. You had better figure out how diversify your economy. Basing on one industry is suicide when things go wrong.

4. Look to you neighbors (Indiana and Wisconsin). They are getting it right and as a result are doing well.

Don't feel bad for union excessive union contracts.

Unions stole money from tax payers under threat of strikes or work stoppages to get force excessive retirement contracts.

There isn't enough money to pay for this bloated mess.

so everyone even the greedy unions have to give in on this one.

Also coming to CA fialry soon as well as many other locations.

Lesson to union members.

If you bought a dimond ring for ten cents you have a dimond ring that is not worth a dime.

I trust myself more than I will ever trust a union leader or politician. My retirement is mine and I know the money is there.

I can promiss the ones that will get $0.16 on the dollar that your union leader's retirement funds as well as those of the politicians that put you in this place are secure.

Kind of like Obamacare.

It is good enough for you but not good enough for the President or any members of congress.

Why don't the unions step up and show their members how much they care for them and give detroit pensioners the money. hell you know the unions have the money.Greed is the only thing stopping the union thugs. This is a lesson for states like Calif. and Ill.let union thugery ruin your lives.

Detroit is nothing more than a carcass with a lingering stench. The bottom feeders representing the city will work the bankruptcy and feed off of it as much as they can before they pull the plug. All of the other issues merely feed into the daily drama.

The one small point of light, if you will, is the suggestion that Detroit could serve as a centralized hub for ALL of the nation's homeless population considering the tremendous capacity and seemingly endless vacancies. Cities that bussed their homeless to Detroit would pay for transportation costs and a TRANSFER FEE that would go toward food and repair costs for facilities used to house the population. Think of it as somewhat like the movie Escape from New York except that it's Detroit.

The centralized processing center for these economic refugees could be aptly named the "Kwame Kilpatrick Homecoming Center."

Obama is a hypocrite. With millions of dollars of campaign donations from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup and other Wall Street corporate kingpins, Obama has rewarded his masters well by not overhauling the financial industry and not proposing a breakup of the “too big to fail” financial oligarchy, which is at the root of today's global economic instability, inequality, and injustice.

Why must Americans accept to borrow at 6 to 100% interest rates, while banks have the privilege to borrow at zero cost? Moreover, why can banks borrow depositors' money at close to zero interest, yet the same depositors must pay substantial interest and fees to borrow money from the same banks that “hold” their money? That's one example of systemic economic inequality, which Obama has not challenged for his self-serving political interest.

Hey Obama remember all the labor unions, middle class families, and African Americans that helped you get elected in the state of Michigan? Thanks for remembering them when you bailed out General Motors while leaving the Detroit city retirees, and AFSCME public employees to die.
