In respect to these lunches, events are the same now as before the bailout. They will continue when the dust settles. The company might tighten up by not allowing workers off the property during the shift. Subjecting returnees to a breath test would require union agreement, which would likely not be possible.

Drinking 40oz. in ten minutes and speeding back to work is not safe, nor is working on the line while buzzed.

That's correct...

and neither would it be safe if they ever got another bailout again...

as it seems to be that is already over with and they are in debt to the taxpayers for life and death both now.

Good riddance to that communist organization uaw.

Sure thing.
Chrysler got the PR hit they were looking for with the quick firing and the union went along. Very impressive indeed. Now the appeals will kick in and drug treatment will ensue before the return of the workers(?). In the end the publicity about reinstatement will minimal to nonexistent and all will end well.

HAHA
I heard one black caller to WCHB say, "I want one of them cars made by the people who are high because they do the best work." She was a former Chrysler worker herself.

The fed should break that communist party uaw and put them out of business altogether...

even though they will bankrupt themselves in the near future without more bailouts...

there's only 600,000 of them left and with them gone would mean a million or more real Americans working in their place...

and assembling better quality products that would have a better chance to sell.
