Detroit's City Council has Petitioned Gov. Jennifer Granholm to use the Governors Office to remove the Mayor of Detroit because of his lack of ability to govern the City in the face of Criminal Indictment and other wrong doing that has nothing to do with preforming mayoral duties. The Government cannot operate with the divisive mayor refusing to resign for the good of the City. The Governor should send a contingent of State Police to the Detroit City Hall and have the mayor removed for interfering with the efficient operation of City Government until his legal problems resolved.

Why would he resign if he believes he's not guilty? Despite "other people" feeling, thinking or knowing "to them" that he's guilty why conceed to the pressure of others. No argument ... he has not been proven guilty depsite all the articles, propaganda, being guilty cause joe, bob or sally said so. He's being tried publicly but the law of Detroit has not yet spoken. Perhaps if the fuel wasn't being added to the fire daily people could think past all the hype and personal outrage. I could be wrong but this all stems from a young man allegedly trying to hide an extra marital sexual tryst? Men can compartmentalize things and not see THE AFFAIR or denying it as breaking a law because they truly didn't have an affair by their definition. I know several men who believe oral sex with another man isn't being homosexual its oral sex period. Or a married man who has a random sex act of any kind with a male or female its "&7cking" not sex. Many successful men and women just don't view things as is or is as. Detroits Mayor could be found innocent by the law regardless of how much speculation, presumptions and assumptions are mounted up. Can't be so quick to judge and grudge. Politic's has no loyalty nor good guys or bad guys they are "politicians." If all the skeletons came out on many public officials not just in Michigan we'd be shame we threw stones at anybody without knowing the facts and circumstances. How many men and women have been imprisoned for years to be found innocent. Let's get the truth before pulling the noose. I don't know much about this guy Kilpatrick but just reading all the malicious comments almost makes me feel sorry for him and I don't know everything that's happened but yikes so much hate.
