The X mayor dis OK in the jury selection. He got a 50% minority in both the jury and alternates. That was better than expected. Defense achieved this result by coordinating the peremptory challenges of the defense team. The potential for an appeal based on refusal to change venue was preserved by the motion to change made this week. Privately, KK must have hoped and prayed that he was not granted an out-state trial. He has the best chance of a rogue juror this way. I say at least one in twelve blacks support him so six black jurors gives him an estimated 4.2% chance of a hung jury from one of those six.
