LOL, the funny thing is that the Safe Passage Act means that anyone who resides in state where it's legal to possess a firearm banned by Colorado, may pass through Colorado without being molested by their laws, so long as they don't fire the weapon at a shooting range for recreation. They can even spend the night in a hotel with their Colorado illegal firearms. Which basically means they have stripped themselves of their own rights.

It would be interesting to see the statistics of how many Coloradoans are buying guns, high capacity magazines and stockpiling ammunition now before a ban goes into effect if passed?

Sure would hate to see the cities and State lose the jobs and tax revenue if these gun bills pass but I hope these companies that are saying they will leave CO actually do..

Come to Missouri! Bring your firearm business to us! We will welcome you with open arms and have passed laws against Oboma and fear driven federal rules.

We not only have concealed carry. We have open carry and we promote shooting assholes that break into your house with the castle law.

We don't have metal detectors in our capital building because most of our state reps and senators are armed all the time.

We are gun and business friendly. We even have a state law requiring voter ID because our citizens are...citizens ...

I love how the politicians turn an non issue into an issue, but do not care about the economy. Direct democracy is a mouse click away.

Im surprised to see how little public comments there seems to be about the gun bans being pushed by the democrats.

Back in Tennessee, and all over the South for that matter, there is a white hot firestorm all over the internet, people talking on the street, and so on. 99& of the people oppose the gun bans vehemently.

Only a few university professors, a few Floridians and other outsiders that moved in, and local news media support the gun bans. About everyone else is against them.

But the leftist news media wont report that.

Instead they poll in super leftist areas (California and New England) and then report the results to the Southerners to try and make us think that the people of the land support the gun bans. But we aint buying it. We know its a lie.

Skewed polls and biased news media is nothing new.

But...Why is Colorado so laid back and apparently so anesthetized while its freedoms are being amputated by a tiny minority?

Is Colorado a leftist state now? Where is the public outcry? Has anybody voiced dissent to their elected officials?

Oh, BTW, just to be honest, Im in Tennessee. I dont know why Topix assigned me an address in Ortonville, MI. I never even heard tell of that place.

And Id just about rather have a nest of hornets in my breeches as to be somewhere in Michigan.

I like the sunny South.

Thank Ye :)

Yes I have contacted my State senator, Ulibarri. It fell on deaf ears. I haven't even received a response from him yet. I find it real hard to believe that all the constituents in all the districts represented by democrats actually want these gun laws to pass. But they will all just vote the party line. Hoping for a couple democrats to come to their senses and vote against these bills next week.

I feel sorry for you guys out there.

Tennessee is going the opposite way, with our governor and legislature pushing pro-gun laws. That is because a gun ban like you guys are about to suffer being crammed down your throats wouldnt stand a snowballs chance in the infernal regions in Tennessee.

But just remember, if a law does get writ, it can always be unwrit.

Once the next election comes and the people vote out the democrats and put in some representatives with some sense (and some backbone) to repeal it.

This mess ort to energize the republican and tea party types in Colorado, if anything ever will.

P.S. The roads leading to Tennessee are still open if it gets too stupid for ye out there.:)

Don't know if I would want to do that to TN. I just recently left CA where they banned open carry of handguns and long guns. I move to CO and they are pulling this crap. I just can't win.

One of our heros here in Tennessee was a feller named Davy Crocket. And whenever things back home got to looking a mite too ridiculous to suit him, he just went and told a bunch of 'em..."Im a going to Texas, and you'uns can go to hell!"

There is always something better somewhere. Some places in America have not yet fallen to the Godless hethen communist yet.

The economy is in free fall in California and people are leaving for a number of reasons.

You left California , you were not the only one...

It didn't take ridiculous to get Davy to leave. He lost an election and went to Texas to speculate in land. Now to do that he would have had to become catholic and a Mexican citizen...

I believe Old Davy died at the Alamo defending freedom lovers from a dictator named Santa Ana.
One of the many reasons that PRIVATE CITIZENS HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS.

No he died at the Alamo as a revolutionary in order to change governments. It just happened to be a republic he was fighting for. He went down there to make money... The war was secondary...
