I have Amerimax Windows in my home. They are good windows but I way overpaid for them. Amerimax service is slow in my option. If I had to buy the windows over I would have bought Milgard or Simonton instead.

I agreen Amerimax window service isn't the best. Don't feel they were worth the money I paid for them. I had Home Improvement King install mine a few years ago. Home Improvement King has since gone out of business.

I have Amerimax in my home & couldn't be happier with them. They are pricier than some, but the warranty makes it worth it. I have had a couple of screens tear and the company came within 48 hours to remedy the issue. No labor fee, no questions asked. I'm in Tucson, AZ and still can't believe the lack of heat that transfers through. I did a ton of research and decided I wanted a true replacement-grade window. Milgard is for home builders and discolor horribly in this market. Home Depot sells Simonton here, and that says a lot to me. The only bit of advice I have is to thoroughly check references & BBB/ROC records for the distributor. I used Tucson Window & Door and they have been on time, professional, and honest.

Amerimax Windows Warranty is lifetime for the original owner on parts but does not cover glass breakage or screens.
Labor is 20 years not lifetime.
Amerimax Windows Warranty is transferable one time for a $75 charge.
Exclusions are normal weathering, pollutants, mildew, fondation problems, vandalism, or act of God.

Here is the link to the actual warranty.

I know the owner personally and he stands by his work. They don't even blare circus music while they are working on your house.

I have Amerimax windows in my home. Got them installed last year. I have had problems with the locks, vent stops and moisture inside the glass. Amerimax customer service is not very good.

I would rate my Amerimax windows a "B". The windows are nice but not great. A few years later the windows don't work as well as they did when they were installed and my energy bills didn't fall like the salesman said they would.

We purchased Amerimax windows in 2007. They are OK, as most posts here state. The noise level is reduced some but not as much as promised. Heat and cold stay in / out, but I have problems with cold wind blowing through little holes near the bottom tracks. I have to stuff toilet paper in them. Several of my vent stops have broken completely. After calling the dealer last year who told me to call Amerimax directly, I was promised a bunch of replacements in the mail. Fall and winter hit, I forgot about it. Called Amerimax directly this year and after 2 days and 2 calls talked with the warranty guy who told me next time to go through the dealer, that they have a "system" in place for warranty work. He was considerably rude and I sincerely hope I don't have any other warranty issues.

Amerimax get a "C" They are an average window. Look at the energy numbers compared to other vinyl windows. Pretty much the same.
