But believe me, "Coleaderos" is a very lucrative business. It is a place where they sell liquor, beer, and other illegal things. This sport is not like the american rodeos where they do it for fun! In this 'Coleaderos", the organizers make a lots of money selling the Bulls to the Cowboys so they can knock them to the ground. It cost around 50.00 to 70.00 Us dollars to follow a single bull in this Mexican Rodeos. With up to 150 to 200 coleadores or Cowboys per event, andwith every single one of them following at least ten cows per evening, just make the math. 1000 runs x 50 = at least 50,000 dollars plus the sales of beer, food, and another nasty things!

Why no body cares about this guys that are getting wealthy making this Mexican Coleaderos?

This is even worst than prostutution! The animal right protectors should show up their force because this is the perfect exemple of how corrupt this country is where some stupid idiots make many selling the right to somebody to knock a poor animal to the ground for a very expensive amount of money!

Coleaderos should be banned for ever in colorado!

And this poor drunk driver should hire a lawyer and defend him self telling the truth about this jerk owner of the restaurants Tacos Y Salsas. He was the one allowing the sale of all this beer. He was the one responsible for letting this drunk driver get out of the Jefferson County Fair Ground being so intoxicated.

That day people say there were more then 5000 perosns in that event!
More then 5000 people with no security personal, and with a green light to Drink beer and Purchase your tickets to follow the bulls and feel that you were a great macho Mexicano just by abusing those poor animals.

Lets see if this corrupt county files charges against not only that drunk driver, but also against those guys that allowed all this to happend, and made a huge profit out of it.

He has to defend him self because his not alone in this issue. This problem involves Money$$$, Corruption, Animal Abuse, Lock of action from the authorities, and lock of public awareness of the lucrative business of Selling Tickets, so you can follow a bull just for the fun of knocking the animal to the ground!

Do you thing the guys following the Bulls do it for free like the American Rodeos do it? Hell no!

Here is money, A lots of money involved, And thats the center of this problem.
Mr. Ibarra shure is guilty of this irresponsible act, but there is a lot of people involved in this ring of animal cruelty and protitution. Mr Ibarra's horse died because of his injuries, But how many animal had been injured in this Mexican Rodeos including Bulls with broken legs, backs, and necks?

If Mr. Ibarra is going to be charged with his felonies, well he deserve it. But, what is unveliebable is that those guy who orginized this rodeo, who made tons of money, they are happy enjoying the profits of this huge even meanwhile this poor drunk driver is facing big charges when there is very important Colorado High profile people involved in this ring of corruption!

Or do you feel very happy knowing that some body mede 150,000 dollars selling tickets to Mexican Cowboys just to buy the right to Follow and Throw a deffenseless poor animal to the ground Over, and Over, And Over, And Over Again?

Do you think we should allow this to continue to happend?

Th point is that animals due get hurt, wheter it is at rodeos or trail riding or any kind of horse event. The main thing is in this story is negligence on anyone's part, wheter hispanic, caucasian, arabic, nigerian, it doesn't matter. Please do you part to keep your animals safe. This is sad this happened because of neglience whether the person involved was drunk or not.

so my dog jumps off the couch that I am sittng there drinking my normal beer on and as he jumps he slips and hits the coffe table and breaks his hip. Mind you, he is a show dog, so do I get catagorized like this man because of a accident based on neglience on my part because I should have had the coffee table further away. BE REALISTIC PEOPLE. ACCIDENTS ARE ACCIDENTS, but they should be avoided at all costs

Answear? WTF is that? The rodeo promoters didn't force Ibarra to get drunk, he did it all on his own. Do your part! Call PETA, ICE and the BBB if your the new advocate for AntiBean Rodeos! Yell at me better check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Good point SoberHockey. All the people complaining should start a new advocacy program and obtion millions of dollars in grant money to start a new 501c corporation to go sit around horse shows, rodeos, trail ride entrances, wherever there ae horses and make sure that no harm, even a scratch, comes to any horse. I am not agreeing that this guy should be let off the hook, but it doesn't matter what race or organization he is part to. This happened away from the rodeo. How do you know he didn't stop at a bar on the way home and got drunk there.

Again, this is a double issue. My protest is agains the Jefferson County Fair Grounds for permiting some persons for charging Money the the Mexican "charros" or Cowboys in order to abuse the animal knocking them to the ground.

If they woudn't chargue any money, like they do it in the American Roping Rodeos, Or in the Bull Riding; Then I wouldn't complain, but here is the perfect opportunity to make public awareness that this Mexican Rodeos are not just for the love of the sport. Those Mexian rodeos leave rivers of money the The promoters in this case, Tacos y Salsas, and the Jefferson County Committe also get their own shares.

I am not blaming them for the irresponsability act of Mr Ibarra, I am letting the readers of this blog know that behind those Mexican Rodeos, there is a lots of money involved where the center of the entertainment is the abuse of animals for money!

If you want to follow a bull to knock him to the ground, and if you have no money to pay for it, They just don't let you. You have to pay every time you follow that poor animal.
There are guys that have 50 0r 60 Bulls and they rent them every sigle weekend to different Coleadero Promoters. The most abused the animal is, the cheaper the ticket to follow and knock him. The Less "Coleado" or abused the bull is, the more expensive is the ticket to follow the animal.

I am not kidding, There are guys that do this sport every year for a business. They rent the bulls like if they were prostitutes over and over and over agian.
I wish one day you guys go to see how bad this poor animals are. Some thimes they are skinnie, with hairy skeleton bodies full of parasites, and desease. This is horrible! I hope some body will read this comments and start to investigate Tacos y Salsas and some others for promoting this nasty sport.

So, do you think it is OK that the Jefferson County allow people to chargue money to the Cowboys, so they can knock the bulls very painfully to the ground?

DO you think it is OK to make ton of money in the expense of the poor animals?

do you have a locking door on your couch? did the dog have to be put down? were you driving down an interstate? really? are you really contesting this? I have not led the best life, I have driven when I should not have, but if it were a person, the guy would be charged with negligent homicide. Maybe you would like a ride in the back of his El Camino.

I was just commenting on how this was an accident. Personally I think the guy should not be allowed to own horses or at least have to hire a proffesional horse transportation service. Trailer accidents happen alot just look them up. Some, yes, because of drunk drivers, and yes 90% pure stupidity on owners part, and I was curious how Jefferson County is responsible in this matter. They don't know who comes in or out the door, whether just an audience member, or a participant, and they can't control how much a person drinks just like nobody control how many of us drink.
