3 times the legal limit and let him keep the horse? Wonder if Wheat Ridge Police let him borrow one of their trucks, bought him new tires for the trailer and a 6 pack for the ride home too? Ibarra was more pissed that the horse slowed him down to get to the bar. He shouldn't have evn be out of jail Monday for Fox to contact him for comment. Luckily his BAL will get him jail time.

If he was 3 times the legal limit why wasn't he
taken to jail!!!!!! and why would anyone in their right mind let him take care of any animal?
What in the hell is wrong with this story?????

This doesn't consist of race i think it consist of irresponsibility. Its doesn't matter what race you are they are plenty of American's that abuse there animals. Mexican and American rodeos are not any different, why do all you people worry so much about what race it is,why not make a difference and stop dri=unk drivers as well as any animal cruelty. What is keeping the other animal a bad thing? Its his property, people make stupid mistakes when they are drunk especially as drunk as he was, but every one here is trying to make us Mexicans look like we are cruel to animals and are irresponsible when it comes to drinking, I am pretty sure Mexicans are not the only ones who drink at Rodeos or any where else.

I find your story and coverage of the animal cruelity at a recent rodeo at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds to be misleading. This "Rodeo" was a Mexican Rodeo not an American Rodeo. Being a rodeo competitor myself I am upset by the cruelity of any animal, but I am more upset that you covereage of this did not clarify the difference between a Mexican Rodeo and an American rodeo. There is a huge difference between a the two types of rodeos.. In American rodeos events that are cruel are NOT allowed!
There is so difference, and trust me i have seen plenty of cruelty in American Rodeos?
What does roping cattle not hurt the animals? or what about tying there legs together, accidents happen.

The story on the horse that fell from the trailer was very upsetting to me. In my business our animals are our life and it breaks my heart to see this kind of story. However I am very very upset that nothing was said about the type of rodeo that it was.(Mexican Rodeo)The Profesional rodeo cowboys assn. and the Colorado professional rodeo assn. has very strict rules against animal cruelty. Your story said nothing about Mexican rodeo and led your viewers to believe that rodeo in general allowed this to happen. AMERICAN RODEO came from the ranching industry and still is a very important part of American. PLEASE PLEASE log on to prca.com and click on livestock welfare. Good job on the story but please don't include us in such a cruel assn. Skip Kallsen rodeodj.com

Thank you Leslie for not giving us a 2 page story of how you are related to him and what a "great" guy he is. Yes there will be plenty of comments on him. How do we even know he's mexican? He could be from Equador, Honduras, shoot he could even be Cuban for all we know. He is only adding to the reputation that Latinos are continuing to pile on themselves, not all of them or you, just the ones showing up in the news committing crimes. Believe me white people do alot of really really bad and evil things. What the news chooses to focus on is what they think their readers want to see.

Hey genius, do a little research on this thing called the internet and you will find many, many American Rodeos with hurt, broken, and mistreated animals. Why, as a matter of fact, last year's Cheyenne Frontier Days had a casualty, as did the National Western Stock Show! I was in attendance at both!!! SO BOO!!!

Clearly you haven't read what other people have commented, if i write a two page story or not is not you're problem its my opinion. And yeah maybe he is a great guy when he is sober but obviously he has no sense of responsibility when it comes to drinking. I'm pretty sure whites reputation is not any better than ours. Not all Mexicans Latinos Cubans have such a stupid mentality as this guy, i was not commenting this to defend him but to make it clear that this doesn't consist of race it consist of responsibility. Is this Clear?
