Comfort Dental of Thornton is a sorry-ass office. I've had to have their shoddy work redone. These people are more interested in addressing the high dollar procedures (Lexus payment) plus the receptionist is very nasty...almost like a government employee who abuses the public.
Their prices aren't lower...just their quality is!

I have had work done at Comfort Dental on many occasions and have been completely satisfied with their work, their competence, and their professionalism. I have a bad case of "dentalphobia" and found them to be very gentle and the work they did was fine.

I find it amusing that there are so many people on this site that want to complain and bad mouth a company that most of them have never even done business with...

I've been once and was treated pretty bad. Dentist was awful and rude. Equipment and chairs looked used and worn. Will never go back ever!!

I went to one on Buckley and Quincy, Aurora, CO I would not recommend it to my dog. The dentist is lazy, he hurt my jaw with a shot that numbed me clear to the lower part of my under eye and clear up to my ears so the whole left side of my face and even back of my head was numb . When I open my jaw it now gets locked and clicks and you have to force it down to unlock. Also they scraped my tongue and made insensitive remarks about how big my tongue was for it was getting in the way. I received crowns and they are still sensitive. The billing department is very incompetent they submitted incorrectly to the insurance company and this has been going on for months and still not resolved. I never had any problems with my insurance company til I went here. They make you wait forever for apt, and my time is valuable. I have to ask to get off and loose money to wait for them. The front desk looks very unhappy to be there and they don't say Hello they act like you owe them something not at all informative they keep you sitting there wondering what the crap is taking them so long to get you in when you made an apt. They don't let you know nothing. The assistant was very unprofessional, acted like he could care less if you were gagging etc. or felt like you would pass out he could care less. They leave you sitting in the chair and don't say anything; how did they graduate and from what school the school of rip offs? How do they manage to stay in business is beyond me but there is one less person going there from now on and I hope you wake up there are incompetent dentists out there and it is scary at least at this location. I will continue to hurt and will have to have all my work redone by someone else and end up paying more in the long run. I just went there cause they were close and on my insurance well the insurance company is going to get info on them.

Comfort Dental:
Pros: I needed a front crown and had them do it successfully with excellent color-matching.
Cons: It is my feeling that most of the Dentists there are "newbies" - right out of Dental School. They get some experience under their belts and they leave. I went to one and the Doc was quite 'creative' in figuring out how to handle a problem I was having. However, by the time I went back, HE was gone and the NEW GUY??- "textbook Dentistry"!!!I did not go back.
My personal recommendation is to find a small Dental Group that offers discounts and is not a "chain store-type". I found one - it is Alpha Dental. Yes it IS a "Group" with several locations but I have found that the Office I went to in Lakewood is operated by a Dr. Glucksman, and he is TOTALLY professional. He even personally called me the evening after my surgery to see how I was doing! Now how many times have you EVER had THAT happen?

i went to comfort dental about 3 weeks ago because the crown that dr. loustelett had put on about 5 years ago was loose, after the initial exam the dentist says that she didnt want to try and take it off yet because it wasnt loos enough. Therfore i would have to wait for it to realy become loose.
So i went back on 3/17/2010 at wich time the crown was very loose to the point that i could have taken it off if needed. I chose to go back to comfort dental and allow the proffesional's do their job, after i was there for a while the dental assistant came in the area and asked me for the crown that had to be cemented back on. I looked at her with surprise and i told her that i didnt remove my crown its still there in it's place. After she looked at it she went and then the dentist came in and she sat down and said well i "i hope that i can get it off without breaking the tooth. Without anything else being said she pulled it off and i heard a crack like sound and she said well this is what she was talking about and the post was broken and you could see that it snapped when she applied pressure and pulled. So she explained to me that now she has to extract the rest of the tooth and then put in a bridge, i looked at her very confused and said " i will not be walking out of here without a tooth in the front of my mouth,so she directed the assistant how to try and re-cement the tooth and just to make an appointment for extraction.
So after she cemented the broken crown back into place i went to the appointment desk and then as i inqired about the price of a bridge the cost was not easy to swallow and then they offered the gold plan and that only saved $400.00 yet the price still was outragious, I asked them even though the dentist broke the post this is still the cost that i would have to pay? The young lady who was very nice says that she will talk to the dr. and see if there is something that she could do.I just think that if the mistake was made by the dentist then the dentist should be responsible for all repair costs.

Wasn't a Comfort Dental office one of those they caught putting multiple caps on baby teeth of kids with the state paying the bill ? At the time, I was more shocked that they wrapped the kids in one of those "papoose" restraint systems and didn't allow parents in the treatment room with the very young kids. When I worked in an E.R. we did rarely need to use a "papoose" on a child needing emergency medical treatment that could not wait until the child calmed down or could be safely sedated, but I can't think of any time it should be needed in a dentist office.
no that was done at a place called small smiles look up all their law suits. the comfort kids dentists are great both my children love going to the dentist ages 3 and 9. they don't focus on games and tv's in their offices but the quality of their dental work which is great. and there are only 4 comfort kids dental offices in co all of which are ran by the same 2 dentists and staff. as for general comfort dentals i don't know have never been to any of them

I agree with you Lynn, In my opinion Comfort Dental Sucks because they injured my jaw pulling a tooth. I walked around with an abscess, a painful swollen face and I couldn't chew for a long time. I went to Comfort Dental in Wheat Ridge. In my opinion, they ought to call it TORTURE DENTAL because I was in more pain after going there than before.

I did. In my opinion, the dentist at Comfort Dental wouldn't settle with me for my damages because he was mad he temporarily lost his license. In my opinion, this was blatant retaliation and he learned nothing from being disciplined. Now I have to pay the lawyer and don't have the money to fix my teeth. In my opinion, there is no justice, a dentist hurts you and can get away with it, because of the costs of going to trial.

Well, it is almost a year and my teeth have been very sensitive since I went to those so called dentists. I also have aches in my ear now and a bulge in the joint of my jaw and teeth getting more sensitive. I will have to go to someone else now and spend more money then if I had gone in the first place to a competent dentist. I am really sick of thinking that I wasted my hard earned money on them. So, I am making a report to my insurance too. I hope I don't have an abscess or something. I probably should have had a root canal but they were too incompetent to figure that out too. I know several people that have had to go somewhere else to fix their mess and one person kept going back and now will have to have the tooth pulled for there is nothing left of the tooth due to infection etc. so if you are looking for a dentist take my advice don't be tempted to their so called low prices and good care. They by the way Comfort Dental sponsors the Fiddlers Green and now it is putting their name on it so they must have made quite a lot of money from all the suckers they saw at their clinics. Take my advise do NOT GO HERE! YOU Will pay dearly and may not have any teeth left!

Wow...I have read a lot of the comments below and I have to agree with most of them. Comfort Dental is no comfort at all when it comes to fixing your problems and doing it right. My personal expereince comes from a visit to my regular dentist in Lakewood then I of course was sent to an oral surgeon. This so called oral surgeon (Moody) never gave me any shots to deaden the area he was working on. He was trying to dig out a bone fragment which was left behind from geting my tooth pulled at the other Comfort Dental Office and was using one of those hooks with a point. He slipped off twice and hit my gums and put me in severe pain. It made me actually jump out of the chair. Then he apologized and said well it may come out by itself so lets give it a week and come back and we will take another look at it. A week later of pain and agony I returned hoping he would just give me a shot to deaden my jaw and get the fragment out. No such luck...as soon as he walked in he started diggin at it with his fingernail and literally ripped it out of my gum that brought tears to my eyes. No shots...no nothing...just terrible pain. He is very fortunate I did not deck him. I wanted to but I just got up and left. My advice is to stay clear of comfort dental. They do not care about you and want only your money...!!!

For those of you who don't know some comfort dentals hire dental assistants who went to a accredited school and train to be a assistant BUT what some might not know is in those offices they also hire anyone wanting to learn the trade without going to school not even for 1 day. It's called on the job training I learned that while working at a a c dental so I was upset of course not fair I went to school and the other person didn't and were both making the same amount of money! Yeah you to can be a EDDA assistsnt with no diploma or schooling in that office.p.s 10.00 a hour

Actually, that was kids dental. Had nothing to do with Comfort Dental.
kids dental? Where is that? The one I know of is named Small Smiles. The only difference between Small Smiles and Comfort Dental is Comfort Dental takes adults. They numb you up with meds and do their crap work. You don't feel anything until the meds wear off and then they deny procedures.
